4 Earning Money (2/2)

Long Yu wondered if the staff was trying to match the eeriness of the place. Or, he could have just been unlucky enough to be born with such a face. Anyway, Long Yu had gotten used to it and wasn't bothered by it at all.

He opened the refrigerator on the far left and intended to grab his favourite soda. Just as his fingers wrapped around the cold metal can, the system that he had temporarily put at the back of his mind activated.

Haven and earth lemon soda:

[A can of soda made by the rising company, Haven and Earth. Consuming too much may cause diabetes]

[Can be traded to the system for 1.25 yuan]

Long Yu rolled his eyes at the description revealed by the system. It was just stating the obvious. Who doesn't know soft drinks are unhealthy.

When he looked that real price tag stuck on the fridge, he felt even more annoyed.

Suddenly, an evil thought struck Long Yu's mind. However, he quickly quashed it.

Although he could secretly trade items in the convenience store to the system, he did not want to do so. With the size of the store, all the items inside combined would barely reach 4000 yuan.

Not only was it pointless to do so considering the sum that he needed, it would also attract suspicion. Worst yet, it would get the staff in trouble.

Regardless of his cold demeanour, Long Yu was not a heartless person.

There was no doubt that the staff would be fired if hundreds of yuan worth of goods suddenly went missing.

This train of thought however, did give Long Yu an idea for a safer method of earning money using the system.

With this idea in mind, he quickly grabbed the items that he wanted, paid for them at the counter and left. As usual, the cashier only silently helped him checkout his items before giving him a nod on his way out.

Long Yu was unconsciously walking at a faster pace back to his place than when he got here. He already had a plan in his mind on how to earn money quickly without attracting too much attention.

After he got home, Long Yu properly put away all the items that he bought, before preparing to turn in for the night. It was going to be a busy day tomorrow and he was slightly looking forward to it. Just slightly.
