Chapter 64 - The Dream of Fear (1/2)
Emil left the cliff and walked forward.
At some point, the dark road was obscured by fog.
The visibility was so low that Emil could not see the picture on her arm.
The fog was getting thicker and thicker, enveloping her.
Emil was trapped.
She could see nothing now.
The anger that her physical condition had caused had gradually cooled down.
Anxiety and fear of her position filled her heart.
The throbbing pain in her arm stimulated her nerves, keeping her awake at all times.
It protected her from being swallowed by the endless fog.
Even so, Emil knew that if she had not thought of a way, it was only a matter of time before she was lost in the fog.
What should she do?
Emil asked herself, but she could not give any answer.
Despair began to spread in her heart.
Fear grew unscrupulously.
The oppression made Emil feel as if she was about to suffocate.
In this state of mental tension and high tension, Emil could collapse at any time.
In the fog, all kinds of strange cries could be heard faintly.
This voice was fragile at first, but it became louder and louder as Emil’s emotions fluctuated.
The more she did not want to pay attention to it, the more Emil could hear it clearly.
Emil had never heard these cries before. It was bizarre.
It did not seem like a sound that humans could make, and it did not seem like a sound that common animals made.
If there was a way to describe this sound, Emil would not even think about it and would be able to give her an answer.
“Demon.”
The sound caused a chill to run down Emil’s spine and her entire body to turn cold.
How she wished that this was just a dream!
Emil prayed in her heart. Her body had already begun to tremble.
In her fear, Emil finally could not take it anymore. She began to run around in the fog impatiently.
But no matter how hard she tried, it was as if she could not break free from the fog.
And as she ran, she could feel that the terrifying voices that were torturing her were slowly approaching her.
This discovery made Emil scared and anxious.
She did not know what to do.
Finally, she could not help but sob and sob. Tears fell from the corners of her eyes.
But at this moment, a friendly call suddenly came from the fog.
“Emil, Emil! Where are you? Quickly come to mommy!”
The voice was like a lighthouse, instantly lighting up Emil’s heart.
“Mommy, this is mommy’s voice!”
Amir looked around. Initially, she could not see clearly, but a black shadow suddenly appeared in the white fog.
It was like a black dot on a piece of white paper. It was so eye-catching that it attracted Emil’s attention.
As if it felt Emil’s gaze, the black shadow twisted, and its figure gradually became clear.
“It’s mommy!”
Under Emil’s gaze, the black shadow’s form overlapped with the gentle figure in his memories.
The black shadow waved in his direction, and at the same time, the familiar call finally confirmed its direction.
