Chapter 547 - A Sister (1/2)

When Cali heard the knocking on her door, she sprinted and immediately opened the door thinking it was Rui. But when she saw the person standing outside her door, her shoulders dropped. Candice was standing  outside her door with her pillow in her hands.

”Are you disappointed to see me here? Am I not the one you were expecting to see?” Candice teased with her beautiful smile.

Cali's face blushed as she defended, ”No… I mean, I'm just surprised to see you at my door.”

”Hmm, Can I sleep with you please? I swear I don't snore.” Candice said and without waiting for her reply, walked past her and went inside Cali's room instantly.

”I wanted to disturb Yera instead, but Dr. CEO shunned me away because they are practically on their second honeymoon more than a vacation and he wants to utilize all this time to make more babies, so… I'm here bugging you instead,” Candice added.

She turned around to face Cali and with a beautiful smile blooming on her face, she asked, ”Sorry about it, but I don't want to sleep alone… Do you mind?”

Candice then comfortably laid her body on Cali's bed. Cali soon joined her, still feeling a little awkward with her presence. Candice slowly turned around to face her and started talking.

”Cali… I might stick with you for a few days. Will that be fine with you?” Cali heard Candice softly whispering to her.

”Huh? But why?” she asked, confused by such docile and sweet behaviour of the seductive professor who made her burn in jealousy just a few days ago.

”Hmm, nothing, just that I want to know the feeling of having a sister around me. Can we pretend to be sisters just for a few days?” Candice asked with a dazzling smile that could warm anyone's heart.

Cali only nodded. For some reason, she felt that Candice's smile had some kind of magic and it was so captivating that it was very hard for anyone to say 'no' to all her demands.

Meanwhile, Rui looked at the clock and whispered, ”Why is she not here yet?”

He grabbed his mobile phone and typed a message to Cali.

[In how much time are you coming over?]

Usually, Cali would knock at his room by that hour to sleep with him.

'How come she's so late today?' he mused. He felt incomplete without her kisses and hugs. He didn't want to return to his lonely days again.

His mobile phone beeped, so he quickly looked at her reply.

[Candice is in my room. She wants to sleep here with me. She said she doesn't want to sleep alone.]

”What the heck?!” he burst after reading Cali's reply. Seriously, Candice would be the death of him!

”She even tried to prove herself innocent by saying that she will not crawl into my bed, but the mischievous brain that she has can not stay still. She had to crawl to Cali's bed instead!” he snorted with a twitched face.

He knew that Candice would find fun in bullying either him or Xander because that was the woman's habit! To bully people around her and enjoy their irritated faces!

Rui felt annoyed as he looked at his empty and cold bed.
