Edward no longer stayed there and soon bade goodbye to Cali.

”I hope you are fine by tomorrow. See you tomorrow at school then…” he said with a forced smile. Cali walked him out of the house up to his car.

She did not go back inside the house afterward. Instead, she sat on the bench swing placed on the veranda and looked into space. She was not by herself. She wanted to see Rui, but she did not know how.

”Where are you?” she unknowingly whispered and started sobbing again. Cali picked up her mobile phone from inside her pocket and tried to Call Rui once again but still to no avail.

She felt like crying but stopped herself because everything that happened was her fault because she was stupid and could not acknowledge her own feelings that everything had come to the point where Rui had to leave her.

Cali stood up and walked back inside the house, wondering how she should spend a day without Rui.

She ended up going back inside her room, but she imagined Rui was there scolding her why she did not go to school. She was so used to his presence every time, that him being gone like this was making her restless. She very soon went out of her room and looked for Selya.

”Did Rui call already?” she asked.
