Chapter 65 - Male Species (1/2)

Xander stared at his mobile phone as he contemplated whether to give Yera a call.

”Ron, do you think I look too clingy if I'll call her?” Xander suddenly asked. He was inside his hotel suite while Ron organized the things he needed for another important meeting tomorrow.

'What's with the hesitation Boss? Aren't you naturally clingy?' Assistant Ron would want to voice out but replied, ”Sir, I think not. It's just a call… Some couples even talk the whole day. I think it's better to follow what your heart tells you to do Sir because a heart is always sincere.”

Xander already called Thea to remind her about dinner. Just now he received a message from her that she would sleep in his office because of an emergency operation she had to perform.

He wanted to check if she was already sleeping. He was still at Country V for an important regarding the building of their hospital branch there and he was not sure if tomorrow he could already go back.

He quickly dialed Yera's number…

*Ring…

He was startled when it was answered with just one ring because usually it would take several rings before she answered the mobile phone.

”Hello darling… Miss me?” Xander shamelessly uttered with a wide grin curving his face. He could almost picture Yera's reddening at the back of his head. Lately, Yera would often blushed with his shamelessness unlike the first time where she would always countered it with her hissing and frank words.

Xander heard a man cough before he spoke, ”I'm sorry, Uhm Deyna was out in a while to get something and she forgot her phone on the table of our department. I answered because it might be urgent so I can look for her and give her the phone just in case.”

Xander's ears blasted with redness as he murmured, ”Deyna?”

”Uhm yes, Deyna Song. You're calling Deyna right?” The man said nonchalantly.

Xander could not believe how he heard the man spoke Yera's name informally like the two were very close.

”Who's this?” He asked as his eyebrows collided.

”Oh, Dion Chen. Do you want me to look for her?” asked Dion.

”No, it's okay. I'll call my WIFE back later.” Xander answered putting a specific heavy diction on the word 'WIFE'.

”Alright, I have to go now. I will tell her you called as soon as I see her.” Said the man named Dion before he pressed the end button.

”My Darling,” Dion muttered as he looked at Yera's mobile phone screen. He put back the phone where it was before he went out.

Assistant Ron winced, seeing the sudden gloomy expression of his Boss while he said, ”check that Dion Chen and give me his profile. I want every tiny details Ron.”

”Noted Sir.” Assistant Ron replied and quickly worked on it.

In just an hour, everything Xander needed was sent into his profile including video footage inside the hospital where the two had interactions.

Dion Chen, twenty eight years  of age and raised by a single parent. Dion Chen was raised and born from another country. His mother was half a foreigner and half was the same nationality as theirs.

Dion Chen came to their country when he turned eighteen to study medicine. His eyebrows raised seeing he studied at the same school where Yera did and even abroad, they went in the same academy but Yera was a year step ahead to Dion.
