” For what reason have you come here, fellow disciple?” While Ling Tian was thinking about how strange the Martial Arts Library is, a sweet and soft voice interrupted his train of thoughts. But when Ling Tian was about to turn around and see who the voice belongs to, unknown to him a glittery pale white light appeared in eyes.

Ling Tian turned around and saw a girl with a mind-blowing beautiful face and a body with perfect curves standing before him. Ling Tian's heart skipped a beat as he stood there, staring at the girl in a daze.

” um, are you alright?” The girl asked with an emotionless tone. Ling Tian was brought out of his daze by the girl's question.

” Oh!! I am so-sorry about that! I am Ling Tian. Nice to meet you, beautiful miss.” Ling Tian said in a bashful tone.

Ling Tian's reply stunned the girl as she had a weird expression on her face. ” Beautiful? Are you sure your eyes are okay?” The girl asked in the same cold tone she used as she looked at his eyes and saw a glittery white light in his eyes. The girl felt like she isn't able to hide anything in front of those eyes.

” My eyes? No there's no problem with my ey--” Ling Tian suddenly froze in the middle of his speech as his eyes went wide from shock. The girl saw that the white light in Ling Tian's eyes disappeared and his eyes were now pure black. The uneasy feeling the girl felt had also disappeared.

” Wha-What happened to your beautiful face?! Who did this to you? You were fine just a moment ago!” Ling Tian felt like going crazy at the moment. Ling Tian's outburst is understandable as the girl who he thought was very beautiful turned out to be very ugly. Her face was disfigured and her face was very ugly. But strangely, Ling Tian felt no disgust towards the girl. Even he failed to understand why.

But that's the only possible thing that could make me see one's soul.' Ling Tian was staring at the girl's back as he was thinking of things.

The girl seems to have sensed Ling Tian's gaze on her so she asked Ling Tian in an irritated tone ” I know that I'm ugly, so stop staring at me. It's annoying.”

” I can't refute the fact that you're ugly. But who was the beautiful girl I saw earlier? My instincts tell me that it's you. But It simply doesn't make sense.” Ling Tian said in a thoughtful tone.

” ugh, just shut up and follow.” The girl replied in a tired voice as she was feeling helpless against Ling Tian.

” Oh right. What's yours name by the way?” Ling Tian asked curiously

The girl thought for a second, whether to answer him or not, then replied” It's Su Lingyan.”
