8 First day at work (2/2)

Ben's ears turned red on hearing her words. Isabella laughed on seeing the little guy blush. She did not have the heart to tease him further, so she took his hand and lead him inside.

She made him sit on a table near the window with a good scenery and asked him ” What do you want to eat today?”

” Strawberry pastry”

” Alright kiddo, this big sis will get your order.” Isabella raised her brows and showed a victory sign to the kid.

Ben smiled sub-consciously and raised his thumb finger.

”OMG! Ben, you are so cute when you are wishing me all the best.” Isabella hugged the little boy as she could not control herself anymore. She ruffled his hair and went to the counter to prepare the order.

Ben looked at the kitchen as if not wanting to miss even a single glance of his pretty sister. Isabella brought the plate while humming a song.

As there are no customers in the shop, Isabella sat beside the boy and watched the boy with her head resting on her palms. Ben looked at her and he rummaged in his small bag and handed her a small drawing book. This time, the little boy drew a peacock with its feather opened. For a five years boy to be able to draw the picture so well, Isabella was surprised in her heart. But, it further increased her determination to teach him. She found a raw diamond, it's her job to polish it so that it shines brightly.

Isabella took the pencil and drew some strokes as the little boy watched with bright eyes. Isabella explained some pointers and got up when she heard the bell ring. ” Ben, I will come again.”

Isabella walked with a straight back and greeted her customer, an old lady.

Isabella took the two bags from the old lady's hand and greeted her warmly while leading her to sit near a table. The old lady liked this girl, so she ordered generously. After helping her carry the bags to her home, she returned back happily.

Isabella really liked the job as there are not many customers and old Adam did not allow her to help him in baking. So, she spent most of her time with Ben. She really enjoyed talking with him as he is a bright kid. Though he talked very less, Isabella did not pressure him and she chattered continuously.

Ben listened to her words with a smile on his face.

But, Isabella did not know that a man in black uniform had been watching them since Ben entered the shop. Paul was shocked beyond belief today on seeing the interaction between the young master and the girl. Paul observed the girl and was convinced that the girl has no ill intentions towards the young master. But, he decided to report everything his master as young master's safety is most important of all.
