Danson looked at Avaleigh in surprise, ”Why the rush?”

Although the flight between Shanghai and Hong Kong was only 2 hours, Danson was planning to enjoy Shanghai a little.

Avaleigh narrowed her eyes and looked at her phone. ”I have something important to do,” she said. A moment ago, Emerson had told her he was having dinner at Marissa's place. If she didn't return as soon as possible, her man was at risk of being stolen!

Avaleigh still thought Marissa was Emerson's first love so when she heard he was having dinner at her place, it made her uneasy. Both she and Danson were not in Hong Kong, that meant Marissa and Emerson were all alone under the same roof! What if...something happened between them?

What if Chu was right and she didn't make him hers in time? She was interrupted the other day before she got to do anything. Did she miss her chance?

Thinking it was something urgent, Danson immediately booked a flight back to Hong Kong with Avaleigh.

As they reached the airport, he quickly messaged Emerson and said, ”Your girlfriend suddenly requested to fly back to Hong Kong. Did something urgent happen?”

Within a few seconds, Avaleigh's phone rang. ”Danson said you're flying back urgently. Did something happen?” Emerson asked worriedly.

Avaleigh held onto her phone nervously and replied, ”Can you pick me up from the airport?”

Without questioning her further, Emerson immediately agreed, ”Of course.” He then hung up his phone, grabbed his jacket, and walked right out of Marissa and Danson's villa without finishing dinner. He had plenty of time to get to the airport before Avaleigh's flight returned, but he was too worried to even care.

”Where are you going?” Marissa asked.

”To pick up my girlfriend from the airport,” Emerson replied.

Marissa looked at her friend with confusion as he jumped in his car and started driving away. What time was it? Weren't they returning tomorrow morning?

She picked up her phone and messaged Danson, ”Are you returning home tonight, honey?”

Over at the airport in Shanghai, Danson looked at the message on his phone and smiled as he replied, ”Yes babe, warm the bed for me...”

Meanwhile, Avaleigh was completely oblivious to this...
