9 Episode 9- The School Bus (1/2)

Carrie and Eva run out of the office following John. As they do they stop when John stops to a classroom door.

”What are we doing here?” Carrie questions him.

John shushes them and points to the little window on the door. They all look into the room. When they do they see a huge zombie. He had muscles on muscles.

”What the heck is that thing?” Eva asked whispering while also trying to stay calm.

”I don't know. But whatever it is well it looks like if we mess with it than we'll be dead.” John said scared.

”Agreed.” Carrie said not taking her eyes off the zombie.

”If we're quiet enough we can sneak past this thing....” John said right when a voice spoke behind him.

”What the heck are you people doing out here? Don't you know the dead are raising?” A tall man said leaning over them.

”Um....yes. Be quiet” John whispered to the tall man.

”A huge zombie is in this room.” Eva said pointing to the window.

”Oh that thing is back again?” The man scratched his head.

”I guess. Now do you know where the keys to the buses are?” John asked nerves.

”Yes I do. See I'm the principal here. Well new one. Today was my first day” The tall man said smiling. ”Now follow me.” He started to walk down the hallway.

The rest followed him. The man stopped at a door. He turned to the rest.

”Listen, there are kids in here. Don't say anything about the zombie things. It'll scare them” The tall man said with a mean look.

The others agreed. They all walked into the room. Three children were sleeping on the ground. A woman stood when they entered.

”This is Miley. She is one of the teachers here. Oh I forgot to tell you my name. Names Mr. Hicky. But you can call me Matt.” Matt said with a big smile.

”Um..hi” Miley said in a low voice.

”Okay, does anyone know where the keys are for the buses?” John asked.

”Oh, sorry forgot” Matt said grabbing the keys out of one of the desks. He reached the keys out to John. ”Here you go”

Before John could grab them, Miley took them.

”Hey!” John said angry.

”Miley, what the heck are you doing?” Matt said confused.

”You can't just hand the keys over to just anybody” Miley said mad.

”Well why not?” Matt said crossing his arms.

”Because these people could just be bandits that could kill us at any moment” She said scared.

”Listen mam, we are not here to hurt you. If you want you can come with us.” Carrie said smiling.

”Miley, its okay. Lets go with them. Maybe they could help us.” Matt said in a sweet voice to her.

”I-I don't know.” Miley said still questioning if she could trust them.

”Please Mrs. Miley” A young voice from behind said.

Everyone turned to see that a little boy, that was maybe around 6, stood there.

”Connor..” Miley bent down to him. She looked into his eyes. She sighed while standing. ”Fine” She handed the keys to John.

”Finally” John said angry.

Carrie hit him on his shoulder.

”Thanks” John said with a fake smile.

”Now lets go” Matt said happy.

They all grab the children. They make their way out of the building towards the buses.

”Finally” Shawn said letting them onto the bus.

”Nice to see you too Shawn.” Carrie said with sarcasm.

”is your family on?” John asked Shawn looking around.

”Yeah. Their back there” Shawn said pointing to the back of the bus.

”Hey Carrie..” A tall boy said when Carrie sat down next to Finn.

”Oh, hey Ellis” Carrie said smiling.

”Your buddy here has not shut up about you! The whole freaking time!” Mike said laughing.

”I was not!” Ellis said blushing. He jumped on Mike and they started to play fight.

”They're idiots” Carrie whispered to Finn while smiling.

”Yeah..” Finn said with a little smile.

”Hey your smiling.” Carrie said surprised.

Finn stopped and started to blush as he looked at the ground.
