8 Episode 8- The Town (1/2)

After ten minutes of driving they finally arrive. But they weren't expecting what they saw. When they approached the town all their eyes widen. Dead bodies filled the cars in front of them. Some bodies were laying on the side of the road. One woman was eating another person in the yard on their right side.

”Oh my god...” Carrie said as she watched the woman eating another person. ”What happened?”

”There are so many bodies.” Mike said looking at the bodies on the outside.

Eva covered her daughters eyes. ”Girls keep your eyes shut!”

”John is that Shawns'” repair shop?” Carrie asked pointing to a building a little ways down. Zombies were trying to get inside it. ”John?” Carrie turned her head to him. But as she did he opened the door quickly and ran toward the zombies. ”Damn he left the door open!” she leaned over to close the door. But as she leaned over she felt something poke her butt. ”Finn...” she looked at him in the side mirror. She was blushing. 'It better not be what I think it is or he is so dead!'

”Don't worry. Its my knife.” he pulled it out of his pocket. ”See..”

”Good.” She looked back to the building relieved.

Just as Carrie looked at the building the doors to it opened. John and a very tall man ran out.

John ran up to the car and opened the back seat. ”Get in!” he yelled to the tall man.

The man got in. He laid on Eva, Ella, Bailey, Mike and Joe. His legs hung out. John got in the front seat. He slammed on the gas. The zombies that were once at the building had followed them and now John was running them over. One by one went under or over the car. Every time they went under you could hear the crunch. After he ran over all of them he started to slow down. Everyone took a deep breath.

”So....how is everyone?” The tall man asked as he smiled big.

Carrie rolled her eyes. ”We're fine” she crossed her arms. She couldn't stand him. He was too nice like.

”Oh how rude of me! I forgot to introduce myself!” He said as he pretended to hit himself. ”Names Shawn. Nice to meet all of you”

”Can we go home now? Maybe its still safe?” Carrie asked as she looked at the passing houses. All she wanted to do was go home.

John clutched the steering wheel. ”I don't know yet. When I went in to get Shawn I saw that the TV was showing that this...whatever it is was happening all over the world. And that the military cleared the town...well somewhat and that they moved everyone into some military bases and that they are planing on blowing up the town so they know its safe.”

”That's terrible..” Mike said concerned.

”Well we better hurry when we get home. Cause if we don't we will all be dead...” Carrie swallowed hard just thinking about death.

”How far do you guys live?” Finn asked looking out the window.

”We live only a mile away from town” John answered.

”Guys can we please at least go to the strip club?” Shawn asked as his legs still hanging from the car.

”Pig...” Carrie whispered under her breath.

”Its not what you think. My family is in there.” He sighed. ”My wife is there with my kids. Remember she works there as a bartender?”

”Yeah I remember...” Carrie said as she felt stupid for judging him because she forgot.

”How did your kids get there?” Finn asked confused.

”Oh the school is next door to the club.” Shawn asked him.

”Oh...that's strange.” Finn said questioning why they would do that.

”Okay the club is right there. Shawn run in there and get your family. Okay?” John turned to face him.

”Okay.” Shawn said as the car stopped. He hurried and hopped out and ran towards the club.

”John we wont have enough room for everyone” Eva said as she was holding Joes' head from hitting the ground.

”Shes right. Its hard to move back here.” Mike said as he was trying to break free of all the people.

”Okay so what do we drive since we don't have any more room?” John looked around.

Carrie noticed that the school still had their buses. ”John why don't we get a bus?”

”It'll do.” John said getting out. ”Me, Finn and Carrie will make sure the coast is clear.”
