”Kazuto, listen to me carefully. I'm not afraid of you. Ever since I meet you, not once, I feel frightened towards you. Instead, I like you.”

Now Niken's face was glistening to red as she never thought she would speak her heart out loud in front of the man.

How embarrassing!

She never knew all this time Kazuto thought she was afraid of him since the beginning of their meeting. She did not want this misunderstanding to continue and create a gap between them.

That's why she held back her shame and was blunt about her true feelings towards the man.

However, the man didn't give any response to her confession, so she decided to keep talking.

”I ... I'm not afraid of you. I admit, the first time our eyes met, I was afraid of you. But I didn't hate it at all. Instead, I wanted to look into your eyes once more time. I once thought, maybe... if... if I looked into your eyes more often and got closer to you, I won't be scared anymore. Therefore, the answer to your question is very easy for me. I'm not afraid of you. But I am indeed afraid of something.” Niken continued with reddened cheeks.

All of a sudden, she felt wanting to go inside her shell as she gave a sheepish smile to the man. She didn't know where did her courage come from. This was the first time she professed her feelings. She just hoped that her voice just now didn't sound weird.

”What are you afraid of?” asked Kazuto with a gentle voice.

”That... I...” Niken gulped nervously as she could feel the heat rush in her blood.

”Yes?” But the man was so mercilessly probing her to continue her words.

”That..” Niken felt wanting to cry now. Can she back to sleep now?

Unknown to her, the man enjoyed her flustered face and teased her purposely.

While she was on the dilemma, Kazuto's body became tense, and he felt restless. Niken lowered her head so she couldn't see the change of the atmosphere.

In an instant, Kazuto unleashed his shadow energy, creating several wolf shadows around them. The next seconds the wolf's shadows sprang out of the room.

”Kazu, what's wrong?”

Before Kazuto could answer, the door of her room opened. Scarlet, Yuki, and Izzy went inside to surround Niken as if they were protecting her from something.

”Why are you here? What happen?” Niken asked in confused.

No one answered her query. They just focused their attention towards the door. Niken didn't know what was happening, but she could tell something terrible was happening outside.

Niken looked at Izzy, who had entered her mind. Aware that Niken was watching her, Izzy glanced at Niken and smiled.

”Can you chase away our unwelcome guests with your cyclone?”

”What are you talking about?” Scarlet questioned Izzy without distracting her attention from the bedroom door. ”Niken's elemental energy is water. How could she possibly create a hurricane?”

”Isn't that because you're inside her astral dimension? Maybe it's just a form of her defense.”

”It might also be true.”

Initially, Izzy also suspected the same thing. But the energy coming out of Niken's astral soul body was too real as if it was not the manifestation of the defense in the astral. The essence she felt during the attack of the typhoon felt like a wind Elementalist attack her.
