86 Ch. 86 Sweet Gesture (1/2)

Back to Niken's place...

Everyone who stayed inside Niken's rooms pounded hard, waiting for Niken to regain her consciousness. They began to breathe with relief heart when they saw Niken's fingers started to move. Niken's eyes were flickering to adjust the bright light.

Finally! Niken has awake!

”Psst, shouldn't we wait outside?” Izzy thought Niken had never met almost anyone there. So she felt it would be better if they waited outside so as not to confuse the girl. ”I'm afraid that if she sees many unfamiliar faces, she will use her strength to attack us.”

Scarlet was a little confused as to why Izzy made the impression that Niken was strong enough to attack all of the Elementalist Knight? But, she preferably complies with her as she didn't want to make Niken scared either.

”You are right. Come on.”

Therefore everyone except Kazuto and Richard went out of Niken's room.

Niken just adjusted her eyes and blinked several times to see the surroundings. She turned to her right side, where Kazuto looked at her worriedly. A pair of black eyes similar to the black wolf earlier was looking at her with concern. Niken couldn't help but smile. More precisely, she gave a smile to convince the young man that she was okay.

”Are you okay? How are you feeling now?”

”I am fine,” Niken replied, then turned to the other side to see her brother. ”Big Brother? What happened to me?”

Richard glanced at Kazuto, who immediately shook his head, then he glanced back at Niken.

”You're just too tired. That's why you fainted. I didn't know what to do to get you up, so I contacted him.”

”Kazuto?” Niken glanced back at Kazuto.

The men thought Niken would ask the reason why would Richard ask Kazuto for help. Kazuto was an outsider, and they only meet twice or thrice. But then, the next words that came out of her mouth made the men stunned.

”Thank you.” she continued with a smile, then yawned. For some unknown reason, Niken felt very sleepy despite already been asleep for a long time.

Richard and Kazuto were wondering why Niken asked nothing. However, the men decided to stay quiet.

”Are you sleepy?” asked Richard.

”Hm, I don't know why, but suddenly I'm sleepy.”

”Then go rest.”

Richard and Kazuto decided to let the girl sleep some more. Richard got out first while Kazuto fixed Niken's blanket to keep Niken's body warm.

”Kazuto,” whispered Niken when Kazuto got up to leave her alone. ”Could you stay here until I fall asleep?”

Kazuto smiled softly and sat down again by her bed.

”Of course.”

Niken pulled her right hand from her blanket and pointed her hand at Kazuto.

”Can you hold my hand?”

Feeling the warmth from her right hand, Niken smiled sweetly.
