164 I Know Something... (1/2)
Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang!
Wuxing fired five bullets and put down his weapons, finding it wasn't necessary to shoot more. The gun instructor frowned but then clicked the button to call the target and looked at Wuxing surprised. Only one bullet hit the head while the other four where scattered on four limbs, hitting hands and feet perfectly in the center.
The instructor knew how much precision one needed to hit targets separated from each other this far while constantly shooting.
”Congratulations, you are a great shooter. Are you fine with other weapons too or just the pistol?” The instructor asked as he placed a check-mark on his list.
”I'm skilled with all kinds of weapons. Assault-rifles, machine-guns, snipers, knives, swords. Pick anything, I know it,” Wuxing said boldly, his expression calm as if it was nothing.
They could talk with each other despite the noise as there was a voice amplifier build into the sound concealing headphones.
General Clark glanced at Katherine wanting her to confirm it and she only smiled, shrugging. ”I always pick best of the best,” she explained humbly.
”Alright, you can join the selection tomorrow,” General Clark decided, speaking ahead of the gun instructor and the one nodded, signing the paper before giving it to Wuxing.
”Thank you,” Wuxing smiled and turned around to Dongmei. ”Your turn, go crush it.”
”Hehe, sure,” Dongmei giggled and walked up to the weapon stand. Instead of a gun, she went for a classic m4a4. She prepared it, checking out the weight and the magazine while the gun instructor set up the new target.
”Shoot when you are ready,” he said and stood to the side but Dongmei didn't need the command, already prepared to pull the trigger. She aimed at the target while standing and fired.
Ratatatatata!
She didn't move her weapon and simple fired in the direction of the target. A spray of bullets hit the target, the recoil forming them in a straight line upwards. She glanced at the target and looked lost in thought for a moment.
”Is there something wrong?” The gun instructor asked, expecting much more than this after seeing the first performance.
”Oh, no, I was just checking the recoil,” Dongmei smiled cheekily, shaking her head and aimed once again, spraying another two series of bullets going full automatic.
Similarly, she put down his rifle as if she was done and stepped back, awaiting the verdict. Usually it was the gun instructor who would tell to stop shooting and this was the second time the recruit didn't act according to the well known rules.
Knowing they came with General Crimson Devil, he didn't say anything, simply pulling the target back to them.
Everyone gasped when they saw a simple heart formed by the holes after bullets. It was right in the middle of the chest.
”It's for you, hehe,” Dongmei said as she sent a flying kiss to Wuxing who in return caught it and placed it on his lips. Anyone could figure out from this exchange that they were together.
General Clark observed Dongmei and couldn't help but repeat previous question. ”Where did you find them?” he asked, being truthfully surprised he never heard about the,. It wasn't often that real skilled recruits would join Seven Stars. Usually skilled people were scouted before they could become this good.
Katherine answer to his question so she shrugged once again. ”What can I say? I have a good nose. I can smell talent from a kilometer,” She said humbly, covering for Wuxing.
Seeing she kept quiet, he only waved with her hand and didn't bother asking anymore. ”Okay, okay, you don't need to say.”
Instead, he turned to Dongmei and asked, ”Can I ask for your name Milady? I forgot to check during the registry.” General Clark knew a lot of people and wondered if was a child of any of his old friends.
