76 Grab My Hand! (2/2)
Swinging her left and right until her legs were already almost reaching the sailors' hands, Wuxing suddenly swung Dongmei with all of his power in the opposite direction, letting go of a single hand which let her grab the railing, safely landing on the board. Even though Dongmei wasn't super strong, she was really flexible making such acrobatics possible.
When the sailors got a full view at Dongmei's beauty, ogling her wet dress that wrapped around her perfect butt, none of them hesitated to rush and help. Another two arrived seeing the situation from the distance, picking out the blankets from the emergency cache before running to help as well.
Unfortunately, they didn't expect that Wuxing would suddenly block their way, pulling out a gun from under his suit and aimed at the closest sailor's head, cursing at them, ”Fuck off! She is not someone you can touch.” He could see their lewd gazes and he couldn't allow that, shielding Dongmei as her rightful partner.
Even though the back of the man in front of her wasn't very familiar to her, the voice Wuxing was speaking now, was definitely his own. He changed it back to show it's the same Wuxing she knew, someone she could always depend on.
When the sailors saw the weapon aiming at them, they swiftly stopped their movements and backed away a bit, the closest one calling out calmly, ”Whoa, calm down buddy, we are just trying to help.”
The ship was designed to not only carry cargo like food and water for each week but also the prisoners to and from the prison. The sailors naturally were accustomed to the guns as they all carried one, the two who came last even having an assault rifle on their back.
Glaring at them, Wuxing lowered his Beretta and said coldly, ”That's good. As you can see, Miss is fine. You can kindly go away.” They were a bit shocked that Wuxing changed so suddenly from a kind and happy lawyer to a trained soldier. From the way he handled the gun, they knew he wasn't an amateur.
Even though they knew that, the ship was their territory. Why would they let someone threaten them on their own boat? Just when Wuxing's hand lowered enough to the point he was aiming at the ground, one of the sailors in the back suddenly pulled the belt across his chest, swiftly flipping the assault rifle to the front, catching it into his hands.
Bang! Thud!
A bullet sound resounded on the boat and it was followed by the dull sound of a body hitting the ground and loud cursing, ”Arrgh, fuck!” Wuxing's hand was already outstretched, aiming at the guy on the ground who was crying and covering the wound on his leg.
Glancing at the other three sailors, Wuxing asked, continuing to talk in his cold voice, ”Next time it will be the head. Anyone else wants to try and aim their guns at Miss? They will only pay with their lives.”
When Dongmei heard his words, her heart couldn't help but skip a beat. Dongmei was capable of killing people on a whim but now Wuxing was showing the same for her. Anyone who dares to aim a gun at her will die. She should have stopped Wuxing, forcing everyone to calm down, but at that time, Dongmei could feel the confidence from Wuxing, deciding to let him handle everything. Another reason was that her last name wouldn't help them as the sailors probably never heard of Guan Family.
The distance from the docks was still too little and one distress signal from the captain was enough to surround them with the prison guards responsible for protecting the docks so the situation was really tricky. Naturally, Wuxing knew that as well but he didn't have any other options at the time.
When the sailors finally understood that Wuxing wasn't joking and even knew how to shoot very accurately, they stopped in their positions once again, not daring to make too many unnecessary movements. After all, no one wanted to die and Wuxing didn't seem like he wanted to kill anyone. They also had another reason to drag for time. Wuxing's gunshot was loud enough to alert everyone on the ship and soon many others would arrive.
Just as they expected, an angry shout broke the silence through the short-wave radio near their chests, ”What the hell is going on?! I heard a gunshot.” Obviously, the four sailors didn't move to respond and stood unblinking aside from the one wounded who was bandaging his leg with a cloth to prevent bleeding. They still couldn't prevent a small smile from appearing on their faces, knowing that Wuxing would soon be caught.
Without any response, the sailors from the inside of the ship thought it was just a misfire so they decided to check it, saying, ”Captain, the gunshot came from the deck. We are going out to check it.”
Right after the sailor's answer, the Captain shouted once again, ”Someone had to fire it! Guns don't shoot on accident! Who did it?” He was extremely kind to the guests travelling with them but now Wuxing could see the Captain's real face.
Aiming at the closest sailor, Wuxing glanced at the radio and ordered, ”Pass me the short-wave radio.” He knew the best way to settle it was through the Captain as he had the most knowledge here.
Wuxing didn't see Dongmei who was behind him when a sudden realisation hit her. She knew the Captain! She already came here in this ship once so she had the opportunity to stay in his cabin while on the ship. It was the most comfortable one in the ship, so naturally, it was gifted to her for the time of travelling.
Just as she was about to mention it to Wuxing, he already received the walkie-talkie and replied, ”I did.”
The Captain thought it was someone of his crew so he didn't hesitate to ask angrily, ”Who do you think you are?! We still didn't leave the Prison Zone! To my office, now!”
Wuxing only smiled and said in response, ”I'm not a Sailor but a simple lawyer who is defending a poor lady from being molested. I wonder what will Guan Family say when they hear their Miss was assaulted on your ship.”
