I honestly still couldn't believe how things had transpired this way. I ended up had to sit beside Hinata on her side of the class and Sakura was sandwiched in between Naruto and Sasuke. She was blushing and fidgeting in her seat as she thirsting over the brooding raven-haired boy while Naruto glanced at her and Sasuke was brooding as per usual. I sighed as I remembered how things came to be this way.

Hinata and I was arriving at the class when a boy talked to Naruto

”Huh? Naruto, what the hell are you doing here? Only those who passed the exam are supposed to be here.” He said. Naruto grinned and pointed on his headband.

”Hey hey, can't you see this forehead protector.” He said but then a pink-haired girl got near them.

”Hey, will you let me through,” she said. Naruto's face lit up at the sight of her and then changed into something else as he thought about something.

”Naruto! Move your ass!! I want to sit on the other side of you!!” She yelled.

”Huh?” Naruto was incredulous. I decided to interrupt.

”Hey, where am I going to sit?” I asked. She blushed when she saw me and said.

”Ah, Hikari-kun can sit next to me.”

A sweat dropped off my forehead and I rubbed the back of my head. She was about to go 'Kyaaaaa' on me but Naruto was glaring at Sasuke and his hands were like going to strangle the black-haired boy.

”What?” Sasuke asked nonchalantly. Naruto, obviously irritated, yelled,

”What do you mean what!?” he was then pushed down by the girl to speak with Sakura and Naruto can only yell in protest.

I sighed yet again after remembering the incident. My attention now was turned to Naruto who was squatting on his table in front of Sasuke with enough glares to spite him.

”Naruto! Leave Sasuke alone!!” Sakura protested. Both of the boys refused to back down.

”Move it.” Sasuke snarled and Naruto growled at him. Some classmates were egging them on and I was about to chide them when a boy in front of Sasuke's table accidentally nudged Naruto's feet and surprised him. The boy apologized while Sakura was stunned. I couldn't see what was happening so I glanced over the girl's shoulder and saw it. I immediately burst out laughing.

”Hahahahahahha! Nothing can overtop this one, Naruto!” I managed while still laughing at them. They pulled out from ”the kiss” and barfed out the trace of their accidental kiss.

”Naruto, you moron!! I'm going to kill you!” Sasuke yelled and Naruto wasn't silent either.

”Yuck! My mouth is rotting!” He then sensed something and he turned around. I couldn't see what the girl's expression was but I knew it wasn't good. Naruto raised his hands in defeat and looked around for a saviour.

”It wasn't my fault, I swear!!” he pleaded. The girl cracked he knuckles

”Naruto... you are... annoying...” She gritted. There was a single ”Eh...” from Naruto before all hell broke loose.

”...now you will soon get a mission to help the village. So today we will create the three-man-teams and each will have a Jounin sensei.” Iruka said. I was dabbing some ointment that Hinata asked me to apply on Naruto while he winced.

”I'm sorry I didn't help you in time. That was funny as hell.” I said while holding back my laughter.

”It's okay.” He said and then winced once more. The girl's temper wasn't going down fast enough as she still had her eyes on Naruto.

”You will follow your sensei's instructions to fully complete your missions.” Iruka continued. Each of us was in deep thought of our own.

Wait a minute, there are 28 of us here...

”We tried to balance each team's strength,” He said and the whole class yelled in disbelief. The next few minutes of our time was spent listening to him announcing the team members.

”Ok... Next is team 7. Haruno Sakura, Uzumaki Naruto.” Iruka announced. The pink-haired girl's face fell in disappointment and Naruto exclaimed happily. ”And, Uchiha Sasuke.” This time Naruto was disappointed and Sakura yelled happily. He immediately stood up and protested.

”Iruka-sensei! Why does an outstanding ninja like me... have to be on the same team as that prick over there?!!!” he said and Sakura once again had that angry look on her.

”Sasuke's grades were the best of all 28 graduates and yours... were dead last. You do understand, we have to do this to balance the teams, right?” Iruka explained.

”Just don't get in my way.” Sasuke looked at Naruto sadistically. ”Dead last,” Naruto gritted his teeth.

”What did you call me?” He yelled. Sakura was quick to clock him in the head.

”Give it a rest, Naruto!” She said. Iruka sighed at their behaviour.

”Hikari already had a sensei but he will be joining Team 7 as a stand-in member. This afternoon, we'll introduce your Jounin sensei's until then, take a break.” He said.

”This is delicious! What does it call?” I exclaimed. I was eating my bento with Hinata. It was fried rice that was encased in a fried chicken egg.

”Thank you, Hikari-Nisan. This is called Omurice. I'll make you one for dinner tonight if you love it so much.” Hinata explained. I grinned and thanked her. When I had finished eating, I went outside to get some fresh air. Then I saw Sarutobi-sensei and Kakashi-san walking together, so I ran to greet them. I bowed at them and said,

”Sarutobi-sensei, Kakashi-san. It's a pleasure to meet you guys here.” Kakashi smiled at me.

”Yo, Hikari! Congratulations on becoming a genin. From what I heard from Sandaime-sama, your talent is at prodigy level!” He said. I laughed and rubbed the back of my head.

”That might be pushing it, Kakashi-san. I have a clan's prestige to uphold while not making myself known. Kind of hard, you know.” I said. Sarutobi-sensei tossed me something.

”Congratulations on graduating. This is your present.” He said. I looked at it and found that it was a tanto. I unsheathed the blade and saw an inscription on it that reads; Fudo Masamune. I held out and test the blade.

”This is very well made and balanced. Thank you, Sarutobi-sensei.” I commented and my sensei chuckled.

”The tanto is a chakra blade. I'll have Kakashi teach you how to fully use it.” He explained. I bowed and thanked him yet again.

”Well, Kakashi and I have to get going. We are visiting Naruto's house next.” He continued. I shot them a puzzled look. Kakashi laughed nervously while a sweat dropped from his head.

”Sandaime-sama, Hikari shouldn't know that. I am going to do recon before I get to know my students. Yes, I will be your stand-in sensei but please promise me that you'll keep it a secret until our first mission, okay?” I grinned and bowed at him.

”Of course, Kakashi-sensei! Please take care of me.” I said. They bid me goodbye and walked away. Then I caught a glimpse of Sasuke tiptoeing on the roof.

Funny, Sasuke never had done that. He looked like... Naruto?! What is he doing now...?

”What are you up to?” I said after appearing behind him. He jumped from his tiptoeing activity.

”What are you doing here, Dattebayo!” He demanded.

”I could say the same, Sasuke. Or was it, Naruto?” I chuckle as I said this. He seemed to realize his mistake.

”Be quiet and follow me. Don't do anything stupid, Dattebayyo!” he said and I had to laugh.

”Like what you're doing here?” I said. He paid no mind with what I said and then we were heading towards the back of the academy.

I was standing behind the covers of the tress while Naruto was leaning upon one, fifty feet away. In front of him was Sakura.

Ugh, he better not to be doing what I think he going to do.

Sakura noticing Sasuke (that was a Henge), blushed and shuffled at her seat at the sight of him. Naruto went forward towards her.

”You sure have a large charming forehead. It makes me want to kiss it!” he said and I immediately slapped my forehead.

That idiot!

Sakura obviously couldn't contain her surprise but then Naruto laughed.

”That sounds like something Naruto would say.” He said as he sat beside her. Sakura's face slumped in disappointment.

”Sakura, there is something I want to ask you.” He said.

”Huh?” she managed.

”What do you think of Naruto?” He asked. She was silent for a minute or two before answering his question.

”He's always getting in the way when I do something important and he enjoys seeing me struggle. Naruto doesn't understand anything about me. He's just annoying. All I want is for you to acknowledge me.” She said. Naruto's face was so startled that I am surprised that Sakura doesn't notice it. ”And I'm serious about this. I wouldn't do anything because I like you a lot.” She pressed on. Sakura brought her lips to Naruto but she still did not see the startled expression of his. They got so close to kissing when his face changed into something else as he grabbed his stomach. I muffled my laughter with my hand as he ran away. A few moments afterwards the real Sasuke came back from the opposite direction; his expression was like he was searching for someone.

”Oh, Sasuke-kun. You're so shy. I hope you are ready now? I sure am!” she was still excited. Little did she know that this was a different Sasuke. He was looking around.

”I have to go. Where's Naruto?” he said. She laughed nervously.

”Don't change the subject. Who cares about Naruto? All he does is causing fights with you. Well he doesn't have a normal childhood so... he doesn't have parents...” she went on babbling. I was irritated that this girl doesn't know how to shut up.

”All alone...” Sasuke muttered.

”Huh...” she said.

”The feeling of a parent yelling at you is nowhere near what he feels...” he went on.
