66 Goddess Tyches Wheel (2/2)

After reading over the first screen, I continue reading downwards.

[This Wheel of Fate was won by the Goddess Hecate from the Goddess Tyche, also known as Fortuna. Tyche's wheel was made to influence the cycles of life. In a great game, the Goddess Tyche wished to learn magic, and so she sought out the Goddess Hecate and made a deal with her. She knew of the desire Hecate had for her 'Wheel of Fortune', thus, in exchange, she made a deal that if Hecate could beat her at a game of Wits, she might give her the wheel. But if she couldn't beat her, then Hecate would have to show her how to wield magic.

Hecate took the deal, even knowing of Tyche trickery of spinning the wheel to influence the fate of the duel. In the end, Hecate bested Tyche and took control of the Wheel of Fate. Even so, she only gained a small bit of the Wheel's power, Tyche being smart, had only handed over part of the wheels power to the Goddess Hecate.]

Well, this just got a bit interesting, it would seem that Hecate was quite the shrewd Goddess. If she bested the Goddess of Fate.

Scrolling down further, I look for how I can use this new skill of mine.

[Tyche wheel had dominion over a few things, she could let some suffer great misfortune. Others might go blind, while some other would become apart of the wheel and have their powers used as her own. You can cast the wheel at any time and specify who you'd like to inflict the debuff on.

Be careful because the wheel isn't completely yours, if they are too strong, you'll only be able to affect them a bit. If you wish to gain more power and control over the wheel, find Tyche again and play her for more of the wheel to gain full dominion of the 'Wheel of Fate'.]

Now, this was an interesting skill, how long is the cooldown on it?

[You can spin the wheel every one hour. Debuff and buff time will be decided once the user has rolled the wheel and it has taken effect.]

A smile crawled onto my face, this had to be one of the best skills that I had so far in terms of usage and time limit, it seems like it was pretty solid.

I wonder if I could summon the wheel now, thinking to myself, I clear my throat. ”Summon Wheel of Fortune,” I muttered out and in a puff of golden smoke, a wheel appears in my hands. It glowed up an almost holy light, as it fit into my hands perfectly.

It wasn't too heavy, it seemed a lot like air.

It was framed in delicate gold, the wheel's spinner was a golden arrow that looked like it was twisted into place by the most skilled craftsman. The pictures on the wheel were also very detailed, a woman with a blood banged over her eyes was at the top, she had a twisted dagger in her hand.

Another one of the pictures was of a man, he was falling down and a look of shock was evident on his face. Moving on I look at the two other pictures on the wheel. There was another picture of a man being dragged down into what appears to be hell by demons, he had chains around his hands and feet as he was being dragged downwards, into the ground.

I shudder a bit, I could feel his terror.

Looking at the last picture, it was of a woman smiling, she was dancing around as cherubims and other angelic creatures are flocking around her. It would appear that you have a one in four chance of gaining some luck.

What a nasty Goddess, she must have enjoyed torturing other people. Unless this wasn't the complete wheel, there might be more options if I can gain even more of the wheel. That was an interesting prospect.

I stroked the wheel with my hand.

”Mistress what are you looking at?” Envy's voice whispers softly by my ear. I'd almost forgotten that he was sitting behind me, he had been quiet for a while, which was strange.

”Just a new toy,” I say with a shrug and I will it to vanish. It quickly evaporated into thin air. That was nice, easy to summon and easy to store.
