66 Goddess Tyches Wheel (1/2)
In the end, even if I wanted to get rid of the man with the wings, I think he would have just kept following me the whole time. He was a lot like a newborn duck, whoever it saw would be recognized as its mother, that is how I felt with this full-grown assman.
Although, he didn't seem to hold any negative or evil thought towards me. However, after encountering the Dragon, I didn't think it would be too bad to have someone else with me. The more the merrier, I thought to myself.
After collecting the bones of the Dragon, there were a few items scattered here and there, that I quickly collected. And then, of course, there was a huge chest that had dropped as well, it was wreathed in black flames and bones. A sinister aura rolled off the chest, it seems like I would get a lot of goodies out of this chest.
Glancing at it I was tempted to open it here and now. But I didn't want to open it in front of the new guy and I also didn't want to linger around here any longer in case someone or something came this way in search of this Dragon.
Quickly throwing it into my bag, I decided that we should head forward. It still amazed me that this bag could hold everything that it did.
So, now after collecting my chest and leaving the area, I was trekking across the desert to the oasis, with a winged man and his puppet, and my snake and my creepy clown. Could this have gotten any weirder?
I had to send Wit back into my system, because she'd been badly wounded from the fight with the Dragon, along with Callista as she could barely stand after the encounter with that monster. Now, I was using Royal as my new mount.
He was actually a really nice mount. His body easily slides across the sand, he reminded me a lot of a boat, plus his body also released some cool air. Making the unbearable heat of the desert better.
The man flew just above the sand while his puppet ran, it was an odd thing to witness, he ran very much like a mechanical man. Stiffly and without his joints moving the slightest bit.
To say the least, it looked weird and uncomfortable, not something a normal human could move like. I averted my eyes away from him and glanced back at the winged man, he'd yet to introduce himself.
It was grinding on my mind, so I decided that I might as well ask him. ”What's your name?” I called out, he looked at me with a hint of surprise flashing in his steel grey eyes.
Coughing, he cleared his throat before he answered. ”Janus, what might your name be, oh, beautiful warlike goddess,” his voice was a bit flirty and soft as he looked at me with warm eyes.
I ducked my head down and looked ahead before I decided if I wanted to answer him. Before I could respond a snort left Envy's mouth and I groaned inwardly.
”Why should a peasant like yourself know my Mistress holy name?!” He snarled out, I think he still felt a little sore after being smacked into the ground by the mechanical man at Janus side. Sometimes, I wondered if he was really the clown of Envy and not Pride or Lust. I suppose everyone had qualities of each of the sins in the end.
I felt his hands tighten around my waist, and I wanted to bludgeon him across the head, but I didn't want to fall off of Royal either. Not that it would hurt but I didn't want any more sand on my body or in my body.
What I would give for a shower or a lake at this rate, I felt nitty and gritty. I didn't realize I was that much of a neat freak until being covered in sand for a long period of time.
”I didn't ask you,” Janus stated simply, not the least bit ruffled by Envy's words.
”Rain,” I simply stated, earning a squeeze from an obviously displeased Envy due to me answering Janus. However, it didn't matter as it was better than simply having him refer to me as the warlike goddess, all the time.
Leaning back, I decided to use Envy as a chair, I waved my head and pulled up my stats' bar. I'd leveled up a bit and my stats had increased, but I'll deal with that later. Right now, I wanted to know more about the skill that opened up in the bloodline and I wanted to see about this new Dragon that I had gotten for a summon.
I felt like it was a cheat to get a Dragon. But at the same time, it would be helpful as the prospect of flying really intrigued me. Soaring through the sky would be so nice, I glanced back at the man flying next to me and felt a bit of envy towards his wings.
I wonder if that was a skill or if he was like a birdman or something. He wasn't the strangest thing I've seen since waking up in this new place. Shaking my head, I turn back towards the screen that I had opened.
Flicking my finger up, I found the skill and tapped the new glowing skill that read 'Wheel of Fate' and it brought me to another page.
