However, what are the odds that someone is just passing by in this wasteland of a forest? I snorted to myself and grabbed the weapon that I had slammed into the ground, easily pulling it from the sand.

The whole time my eyes didn't stray from him at all.

But before I could say anything he raises his hand and spoke, ”Hi,” he simply says. I was taken back by his casual tone. Did he not realize that this wasn't the place where you just randomly walked up to someone, and say hi like you're walking along the street somewhere.

Had he lost all semi-balance of logic, I wondered as I glared at him.

His wings are quite large and they float softly as they allow him to hover in the air, they're red like blood. It was quite intriguing, I'd only taken notice that right by him but on the ground another person was standing there.

Well, a person would have been an understatement, he was a bit of a creep. He looked a lot like a mobster... I think I seem to recall seeing people like him in my memories, they were so foggy thought that I didn't know if I was right.

His face was twisted up into a permanent smile and he had an eyepatch. I laugh a bit on the inside, with the crazy look on his face and his smile, I wouldn't be surprised if he was kin to Envy.

Speaking of which, where had Envy off to? I could hear Royal as he slithered through the sand as he came to stand beside me, his huge body practically casting a shadow over me. He nudged me slightly with his nose.

Hiss.

I raise my free hand and rubbed his head, he seems pleased because he pressed his body closer towards mine.

”Who are you?” Envy's voice sounds, but not behind me like I was expecting instead he'd approached the man that was hover in the air. The scythe still in his hand and he moves to swing it towards the winged man.

But before he could connect the man that had been standing on the ground, darted upwards and caught the head of the scythe in his hands. I grimaced expecting the blade to easily cut through his body.

Yet to my surprise it didn't instead it produced a high pitch whine as it connected with him. The force of the encounter launched Envy backward into a dune. The smiley man didn't follow, but just lightly landed back on the ground.

His body made an indent in the ground as he was forced into it. I heard a cackle as he quickly stood up from the dune, a weird smile on his face and I even think I saw a bulge in his pants, I shuddered a bit.

”Envy!” I snapped at him, he turned his head and look at me, ”Come here,” I growl at him. He cast a look at the two men, before licking his lips, he moved as the next second he's behind me. I felt like this psychopathic clown could teleport at how fast he moved.

”Mistress!” He laughs by my ear as he tries to slide a hand around my waist, evidently annoyed at this gesture Royal hisses at him and slides around my body. Effectively blocking Envy, a cold look passes between the two before they turn away from each other.

These two hormonal men in my life, I couldn't help but think as I shook my head.

”I'm sorry if I startled you,” the man speaks again and I turn my attention back towards him.

I narrow my eyes at him, before taking a deep breath... he hadn't left, so he obviously has some business with me.

”What can I help you with?” I asked in a chilled voice.

A small smile graced his lips as he drifted closer to the ground and me.

”I just wanted to make sure you are alright, I saw your fight with the Dragon. I had come over to help but you'd already slain the beast by the time I managed to get here,” he explained, as his feet touched the ground and his wings folded against his back.

A gentleman?

However, at the same time, I thought that a sleepy assholes face appeared in my mind. No man was a gentleman. I thought ruefully to myself.

”If that all then you can move along, as you can see I'm fine,” I say with a pointed look at the man.

He didn't seem to take the social cue and took another step closer towards me.

”If you don't mind, I'd like to accompany you along your travels through this forsaken desert,” he simply as he replied a smile on his lips.

I couldn't help the groan that slides out of my mouth at his words, I felt another headache coming my way.
