54 Kobayashi Rina (1/2)

Letting the smoke drift out of her mouth in long streams, Rina continued waiting. Her long legs were exposed as she sat comfortably position on a sofa with a myriad of pillows on it. Long chocolate brown hair poured around the seat and her body, her purple eyes were a bit squinted as she looked at the screen in front of her.

The rest of the room was decorated by her doll they all stood around the room silent as church mice. She had a small army of [Demon Dolls]. The thing with demon doll is they use to actually be humans, except she places a demon into their body and robbed the human of their vessel.

The room was fogged with smoke as she kept releasing the fumes, her elegant lips crawled the pipe in her left hand gently and she read. However, her attention wasn't the least bit focused on what she was reading.

Instead, her mind drifted towards the woman that she had met just a couple of hours earlier. It made the hair on her body stand up as she remembered the kiss with her, lowering the pipe she ran a finger over her lips. A dark smile appearing on them as she did.

The sound of a gong drew her from her stupor as she turned her head towards the screen that had a man with an annoyed face on it, low and behold it was none other than Haru. Although he looked a bit different, his long hair was now short and his features were even more grime as they looked at the woman in front of him.

”Rina, did you do what I asked of you?” His voice was sharp and to the point, leaving no room for dawdling.

Leaning back, her purple-eyes were aglow with mischief and misery as she looked at him. ”I indeed went a met with the pretty woman, you didn't mention that, which was a pleasant surprise in itself,” she chuckled drawing in a deep breath from her pipe.

”Good, I owe you one Rina,” he looked ready to leave after that, but the light sound of her laugh stopped him from doing so.

That laugh could never mean anything good.

”You almost hid it from me, darling. However, you must've forgotten just who I am,” she spoke her voice was light but with a strong note of frost in it. Haru looked startled by her words, his eyes widen a fair bit as she narrowed, she looked a lot like a fox right now.

”That girl, no... that Goddess,” her eyes grew until he saw madness in their depts, a shudder running up his back,” she's what we've been waiting for! My tongue doesn't lie,” she stuck out her tongue and a glowing rune could be seen on the surface of it.

At that moment Haru felt as if he'd seen a lamb to the slaughter.

She had the [Omniscience Taste] a skill that lets the user, see through all farse for anything they tasted. That applies to humans and anything they might be hiding through tasting them. A chilling smile slides onto her face as she licked her finger lightly.
