36 Basic Knowledge Even A Newb Knows (2/2)
”That depends on a lot of things, for instance, if you can tell that they are new you can do one of two things. Either help them or kill them.”
”And if they aren't new to the game?” I gulp a little, it was probably a good thing that I hand't told him that I was a level one when I first met him, or else I might be dead right now.
”You can either see if they are decent players, or you'll want to get as far away from them as you can. Granted, if you've overwhelming strength then you've nothing to fear, for the most part, though people are greedy and will try to kill you and steal what you have.” He continues as he heads down the steep hill.
”Then you can really never know what type of individual you're going to meet?” I ask him.
He cast a glance back at me and then turns his attention back towards the downward slope we're walking down. We're quickly nearing the bottom making quick work of the hill.
”No, there are things that can identify people. Either their affiliation to a guild or an organization. There are six major organizations in the MWG,” he says. He looks back at me again and raises an eyebrow at me. ”You know this is basic information that even the newest of new players would know about,” he says softly.
A chill went up my spine, I was a newb among newbs apparently.
”I'm sorry could you please explain it to me?” I ask him, walking closer towards him till were shoulder to shoulder. Ceryneain picked up its pace and quickly follow me.
Sighing he nods his head.
”The six organizations are Sovereign Clan of the End, Sunfire Alliance, Shadow Mercenaries, Free Union of Players, Holy Knight of the Goddess, then the last of the six an organization that has no name.”
We continued at a steady pace, as we made our way past a street that had a couple of shops that were full of clothes.
”The Holy Knights of the Goddess, the Hag mentioned them. She wanted me to find a man in their ranks, the one that had betrayed and killed her, I have to kill him,” I told Haru.
As quickly as the words had left my mouth, he'd grab me and slammed me into the brick of one of the buildings. His eyes were hard and narrowed.
”Listen, Alice, you can't say those things out loud. There are three organization that you should try to steer clear of and that is one of them. The other two are the Free Union of Players and Sunfire Alliance.” He glared down at me, his hand still covering my mouth.
”You've got to promise me that you wouldn't meddle in their business,” he urged as his hand got tighter on my face.
I quickly give a jerky shake of my head, to let him know I understand. He releases my face quickly, I rub my now sore face.
The Ceryneian face was dark and twisted with rage, it'd grown to its full height and was now glaring at Haru. Steam was coming out of its nostrils.
”Never touch our Master like that or we'll tear you apart,” its voice thundered out as it kept glaring at Haru. Before it walked towards me and stood protectively next to me.
I patted its head. ”I'm fine,” I murmured trying to calm its rage. However, my rage was boiling over.
Turning my eyes to Haru, I give him a dark look.
”Don't ever touch me like that again. Or I'll cut your hands off!”
