32 The Shrine Madien (2/2)

”There still so fight left in this one, huh?” She twisted her head towards Envy as she spoke.

Lifting my head up, I turned and looked at him. Blood was running out of his mouth, and there were multiple gashes and wounds littering his body. But he still stood up defiantly to the Hag. Raising his head he gave her a condescending smirk.

”You are a ghost right?” He chuckled as he threw a knife toward the woman in the air. Which she easily dodged, her face was twisted up in an annoyed smile as she looked down at Envy, he drew her full attention.

She was a ghost!

”This means you want to keep playing right? Shall I rip your limb off this time and then make you watch as I kill your Mistress in front of you?” She screamed out as she floated towards Envy.

If it wasn't for Envy, I would have forgotten that she was a ghost. Meaning that she could be exorcized if done right! Opening my skill page, I search for the new skill that I had earned [Shrine Madien], this was the better version of my exorcist skill.

If physical attacks couldn't harm her then, a metaphysical attack should do the trick. Plus she was obviously a spirit that hadn't been able to pass on.

Gritting my teeth, I force myself to a standing position. I'd found the skill, it had a magical incantation and a video that showed the stances that you had to take when performing the skill. With Envy drawing her attention, I take a deep breath and try to clear out my thoughts.

I needed to focus or I wouldn't be able to cast this skill.

Spreading my legs slightly, I raise a hand up like I'm offering a prayer to a god. A blinding light erupted from my hands as I did that. It burned a radiant gold, just like Haru when he'd been casting his skill.

I felt a surge of energy run through my body, it wiped away some of the exhaustion that I felt and pain. It was like my whole body was being covered in purifying light, my wound actually began to stitch itself back together.

”Spirit, I hear your cries. I've come to purify thy soul,” reaching out a hand I slide it along my right arm, till one hand outstretched palm up and the other rest against my heart.

The golden light dimmed, turning into a rich amber color. Tendrils of amber began to shoot towards the Hag, that was fighting with Envy. His right arm was gone and he was barely defending with his left, her face was still smiling, but she opened her eyes to look at the tendrils of amber and gold that shot towards her.

She was a bit to slow, the first tendril wrapped around her ankle and then the other began to bind her arms and legs. Slowly encasing her and holding her in place.

”Let me go, child and I'll make your death quick. Keep toying with me and I'll make sure you don't have an intact corpse!” She screeched pushing against the tendrils that were binding her in place.

”Violent child, I will absolve you of your burdens!” I continued, sliding to the ground spreading my hands out on the ground before touching my forehead to the ground.

A brilliant white light crept out of my body and began to change itself into a glowing arrow of light before it shot directly towards the Hag. She twisted and turned, trying to remove herself from her confinement.

She managed to break her arms free, placing her arms in front of her, she caught the arrow of light, but she didn't manage to keep it from piercing into her head.

As if she was wearing a mask, her face began to crack and split open.

”Be reborn my child,” rasing back up, I clapped my hands twice. After that, the sound of bells rang in the air, and the glowing arrow of light began to dissolve into her body.

”Argh!” Her voice cried out before her body exploded.
