32 The Shrine Madien (1/2)
My breath was coming in short gasp. The wound on my shoulder had long ago reopened, my vision was a mess. It felt like I was looking through fogged class. And my sense of time was all off, it felt like everything was happening in slow motion.
Yet, it all happened in a whirlwind of speed and carnage.
Haru had launched himself towards her, chanting a spell as he sung the scythe forward through the air towards the Hag. However, something about her was different from the last time that I'd seen her.
She seemed stronger, indeed she was too. Her hand easily caught the glowing golden tip of the scythe her fingers effortlessly held the weapon like it weight nothing. Disbelief was etched on his face as he was thrown, she whipped the scythe around before she released on her hold on it.
Like a bombshell he was hurled through the air and towards the wall, his body slammed into the wall. Dirt and debris showered the room as he created a huge crater in the wall.
”Hahaha, you green children. I'll play with you for a bit, try to entertain me!” Her voice was like a bolt of lightning. Her face was breaking and falling apart, as she shed the human skin it was like a demon had appeared.
Black gushed out of her mouth, her eyes were glowing a vibrant red and her bald head grew long tendrils of black hair. She was a monster...
What ensued after her words had been pure and bliss carnage. Enraged at being treated like a human ragdoll, Haru launched himself into a cascade of bladed attacks against the Hag.
However, she'd beaten the shit out him. After that, she had turned her attention towards both me and Envy. She'd managed to easily unarm Envy, she used him as a punching bag for a bit. Before she had turned her attention onto me.
I'd felt an insurmountable amount of fear and terror as she turned her bloodthirsty eyes onto me. It didn't take long for her to tire of beating me.
All of which transpired in a couple minutes, yet it felt like hours had passed. I could barely stand it felt like my whole body was a bruise. Fresh blood was seeping from the tape around my shoulder. I'd torn open the tap and the wound had quickly reopened.
Coughing, I felt blood pour out of my mouth. We're all in a sorry state, Haru was beaten the worst out of all of us. His breathing was coming in small labored breaths, seemingly too painful to take full breaths.
It got worse by the second.
We needed to do something, there wasn't any way that I couldn't defeat her. Even if I had to sacrifice my body I'd be willing to do it, just to kill this Evil Hag.
What could I do to stop her?
I wracked my brain for a solution.
”Aw! Are the green children all done? Maybe, I played a little too rough with you,” her cackling voice rang out in the room, that smelled like rotting flesh and blood. ”Oh well, I've grown tired of this, shall I end it now?” Her crimson eyes, slowly turned up into crescent moon shapes as she smiled.
What should I do?!
Think! You've got to think!
Think Alice...think!
I screamed at myself internally, there had to be something. This wasn't how it was supposed to end. I couldn't accept that this was supposed to be my end.
”You stupid Ghost! Why couldn't you just die and pass on, you must have had one hell of a regret if your this strong,” Envy sarcastic voice rang out.
