254 Good Morning, Wife (1/2)
When Mingyue woke up, she found a pair of eyes staring at her. She was surprised and wanted to move away, but the way that pair of eyes look at her made her stop. It was full of love and pampered.
For a while, none of them choose to look away or say anything. Soon, she found herself lost in her husband's eyes.
To think that after six years, they finally consummated their marriage…
The thought of what happened between them last night made her face grew hot. The two of them tumbled into bed, and in that night, she felt drugged by his kisses and touch. In the end, she was too tired to move, and he had carried her into the bathroom. She could not remember how long they hold each other until she fell asleep.
Mingyue pulled up the blanket to cover her face and heard his low, vibrating chuckle. Because they both had woken up, Yang Yun's voice sounded very pleasing to her ears.
”Good morning, wife.”
A coy smile bloomed on her face when she heard his morning greeting. Then, Mingyue peeked from the blanket, leaving only her eyes and above to be seen. She stared at him and said, ”Good morning.”
However, upon hearing her voice, Mingyue lowered her gaze again. It was then that she realized that her throat was a little sore. Suddenly, she was embarrassed. Mingyue tried to shift around under the blanket and paused as she felt her body sore all over.
Seeing the frown on her face, Yang Yun started to feel distressed. ”What's wrong?” He moved closer to her to check on her.
”I'm fine,” she said quickly. ”I'm just a little sore.” Her voice gradually turned into a whisper.
Yang Yun stared at her in a daze. His hand that was caressing her arms stopped abruptly. He went closer and kissed her on the forehead. ”I'm sorry.” A smile formed on his lips as Mingyue hid her face timidly under the cover again. Yang Yun touched her hair and paused when he heard a grumbling sound coming from her stomach.
Mingyue froze as she cursed under her breath. To think that her stomach would make a sound at a time like this… she was embarrassed.
The bed shifted again, and Mingyue felt Yang Yun left. She heard the bathroom door shut and heaved a long sigh. Slowly, she tried to move around.
The bathroom door opened again. Yang Yun sauntered towards her and placed another kiss on her hair. ”I'm going to make some breakfast. When you're ready, come out and eat, hmm?”
Mingyue lifted her head to look at him. Then, she nodded.
…
Mingyue walked out of the room only when she had cleaned up herself and her room. When Mingyue went to the small dining area, the table was full of food. Mingyue stared at the steamed bun and hot soy milk in awe. ”You make all these?”
”Only the sweet potato porridge. I got the steamed bun and soy milk from the store across the street,” Yang Yun admitted. ”I couldn't find enough ingredients to make enough food.” He placed the cutlery on the table and frowned. ”I don't know how you live without enough food in this house.”
” I spent most of my time in the hospital,” Mingyue said as she took a seat. ”Usually, I ate my breakfast when I arrived and had dinner before I went back home. Basically, I had three meals in the hospital.”
The frown on Yang Yun's face deepened. He had tried those foods in the hospital canteen before and thought that, although they can be considered nutritional, they were tasteless.
”It looks like I will have to be in charge of preparing your food from now on.”
