208 Are You Not Willing? (2/2)

Lin Mingyue shook her head. ”It's alright.” Although some strokes seemed a bit strange, Mingyue found that she could understand everything that Yang Yun had written.

Quickly, Mingyue found herself engrossed in the words and the world that Yang Yun had written.

This time, Yang Yun had written the part where the girl traveled everywhere with her lover to find a few types of herbs for the sick princess.

The girl's adventure with her lover was a heart-pounding scene. They had to climb up a dangerous cliff and met a few dangerous animals along the way. However, the man had stayed by her side and protect her well.

Once Mingyue reached the last page, she started to feel a jab of pain in her head. The pain disappeared as quickly as it came.

”Are you alright?” Yang Yun asked as he noticed Mingyue's change of expression.

”I'm fine,” Mingyue quickly raised her head and smiled. ”Maybe the sun is a bit too hot today.”

Yang Yun glanced at the sky before he reached for the water flask and handed them to Mingyue. ”Have some drink.”

Lin Mingyue took a few sips obediently. The two then sat in the garden as Mingyue gave her feedback on Yang Yun's work. Mingyue glanced at her wristwatch and stood up. ”I have to go back to work now.”

”I will have to accompany Xue Yi Ming to some job this evening.”

”It's fine,” Mingyue smiled. She immediately guessed that Yang Yun was planning to see her again after work. ”It's my turn to stay on the night shift today. Yang Yun, we only agreed to start seeing each other yesterday.”

Yang Yun swallowed as he heard her words. Mingyue was right. As their relationship had only begun, he should not be too clingy. He should not be too hasty to try to get his wife to remember. Everything must be done slowly, or else, he might draw Mingyue away from him.

”I know,” Yang Yun forced a smile.

”Well, be careful on your job,” Mingyue reminded him. ”Don't accidentally shoot yourself on your foot again.”

The two split up, and Mingyue headed back to her office. Her steps halted as she saw a family of six in the corridor. The mother sat in the wheelchair while the father pushed slowly. Their three young sons encircled their mother as they peeked at the newborn baby in their mother's arms.

”Mother, have you decided on our sister's name yet?” the older brother asked.

The mother looked at her husband and smiled.

”Your sister is called Xin Ye. Jing Xin Ye,” the father replied.

”Xin Ye, Xin Ye,” the older brother repeated their sister's name a few times. The little girl let out a gurgle and smiled. ”Good. From today onwards, my brothers and I will protect baby Xin Ye. Father, mother, you can be assured.”

Lin Mingyue watched as the family's interaction as they walked past her. Suddenly, she held a hand to the wall as she tried to stop herself from falling. Mingyue's face grew pale, and there was a sudden, stabbing pain in her chest.

Then, everything went black.
