207 Could Not Calm Down (2/2)

The chair behind her slid and hit the wall behind her.

”Y-you,” Lingyue stuttered. ”What are you doing here?”

”Of course, I came here to see you,” Yang Yun pointed out. His lips curved into a crooked smile. He enjoyed watching his wife's flustered face. Yang Yun held up a bag in his hand and said, ”I brought you something. I thought that you might not have your lunch yet.”

Nurse Tang clapped her hand once. ”Doctor Lin, someone had come to deliver you food, then I guess, I won't need to buy food from the canteen for you, right?”

Lin Mingyue took a deep breath to calm down. Then, she looked at Nurse Tang. Before Mingyue could say anything, Nurse Tang took a step back to allow Yang Yun into the office.

”Then, I'll better get going to join the others. Or else, I might have to eat my lunch alone,” Nurse Tang said before she disappeared.

Mingyue could imagine what will happen next. Rumors of a guy came looking for her to deliver her lunch will definitely spread in the hospital. Lin Mingyue heaved a sigh and looked up. Her face grew hot as her gaze met up with Yang Yun.

Suddenly, their conversation from last night resurfaced in her head.

She found it hard to believe that last night, she had agreed to date Yang Yun. Even after she had called her sister to share the news, Lin Mingyue could not calm down. In the end, she only slept for three hours.

This morning, Lin Mingyue had buried herself into her work. Slowly, she had started to forget about what happened last night. But now that Yang Yun had shown up in front of her, Mingyue could not calm down.

Whenever Mingyue thought of how she was too bold to agree to date Yang Yun, her face would slowly turn red.

”You didn't say that you're going to come here,” Mingyue said as she stared at the floor. The way Yang Yun looked at her made her shy.

”I had a feeling that you might be too busy with work that you might forget to have your lunch,” Yang Yun said.

”How…”

”Yesterday, your friend mentioned that you were too busy that you skipped lunch,” Yang Yun said. ”I have a feeling that the same thing might happen again. No matter how busy you are, you should never forget to eat.”

”Sorry. Once I got too engrossed in reading some medical journal, I start to forget about everything else around me.”

”I know.”

Her habit, Yang Yun, knew them too well. Back then, Mingyue would forget that he was around whenever she was reading a medical book or researching some herbs.

Sometimes, even Yang Yun would get jealous of those herbs.

Yang Yun looked around Mingyue's office and chuckled. ”Aren't you going to invite me to sit down?”

”I-” Mingyue paused as she realized how her desk was too messy that it started to resemble a rat's nest. She gathered a few papers and paused. ”Sorry. My room is too messy with papers and stuff. How about we eat somewhere else? I know a quiet spot in the garden.”
