191 Find a Boyfriend and Start Dating (2/2)
Lin Mingyue stared at her friend with her eyes wide. ”You know?”
Doctor Yan nodded. ”Mingyue ah, Mingyue, this is a sign. A sign that tells you it's time for you to find a boyfriend and start dating.”
Mingyue's face darkened at Yan Han's words. ”Get lost!”
After chatting for another five minutes, Lin Mingyue walked out of her friend's office. She took a deep breath and leaned on the wall to compose herself. Mingyue let out a chuckle as she recalled how Yan Han had told her that it was time for her to start dating.
Dating?
This was not the first time someone had suggested her to find a boyfriend. Even her adopted parents were worried that she had never shown any interest in any man.
It was not that she never give a thought of dating. But, every time Mingyue thought that she should give a man a chance, her heart cannot accept it. Her heart wanted her to wait until that someone she was waiting for appeared.
Mingyue closed her eyes briefly. Her mind showed the image of the faceless man again. This time, he stood closer to her as if he was going to pull her into his embrace. However, his face stopped just next to her ear.
”Mingyue…”
Lin Mingyue opened her eyes with a jolt. Her heart was beating rapidly — the voice. The man's voice sounded so real! Again, her heart ached. Her heart screamed that she missed him. But it was absurd! She did not even know who that man was and how he looked like!

Princess Lingchen hastened her pace as she headed to the Emperor's Palace. Once she arrived outside the hall, the Crown Princess urged the eunuch to tell the Emperor that she had an important matter to discuss.
After almost an hour of waiting, the Emperor finally allow the Crown Princess to enter. Princess Lingchen walked before her father and greeted him as according to the rules.
”I heard that you have an important matter to discuss with me,” the Emperor said. ”You don't have to tell me. I already know what you were going to ask.”
”Then, Your Majesty-”
The Emperor raised a hand to stop his daughter from saying anything. ”I have decided. We will cancel the arrangement with Prince Huo Yuan. I will let your mother arrange your engagement banquet. And you will be engaged to the Emperor of Qian Rong next month.”
Princess Lingchen's face paled as she heard the Emperor's words. ”Forgive my impertinence, Your Majesty, but you cannot do this!”
”What is it? Don't tell me that you actually have feelings for Prince Huo Yuan of Western Zhou?”
”That's not it,” Princess Lingchen sputtered.
”Do you have any problem with the Emperor of Qian Rong? I thought your relationship with him was quite good.”
”But mother had told me what the Emperor of Qian Rong had promised to give us in exchange for my hand in marriage.”
The Emperor laughed as he watched his daughter. ”I did not expect that the young Emperor of Qian Rong would be so generous. He's willing to enter our family and hand over Qian Rong as dowry.”
