In the room, Princess Lingchen sat down on the bed as she let Chief Ye examined her pulse before the treatment started.
”You're tensed,” Chief Ye commented. ”Your Highness, you don't fully trust me with this treatment, so why would you want to continue?”
Princess Lingchen smiled. ”Chief Ye, I don't know you and your grandson well, pardon me if I don't have my full trust. It would probably take years before we found another batch of the herbs needed to cure the poison in my body. I'm afraid that I might be dead before I am cured.
