Chapter 38 - Slaughtering Array and the Qi Practitioner (1/2)

Zhong Yue looked at the array of large stone tablets, and he shivered,  After the death of the beast god, its psyche did not disperse. Instead, its psyche remained here to supply power to the array. When the array was triggered just now, seven gods appeared and devoured the buck to death, and this is only the most rudimentary Seven Slaughtering array! How strong could the intermediate-scale array that is formed by forty-nine Seven Slaughtering arrays be?

How about the power of the large-scale array formed by 49 intermediate scale arrays?

Perhaps the horrifying scene of the descending gods will once again appear in the entire Great Wilderness?

And this is only the seal created by the beast god before it died, what if the beast god was in its peak state? The seal's power must be even much much stronger then!

However, he was also slightly looking forward to seeing the full power of the fully functioning Beast God array.

Xin Huo must have negatively influenced me, how could I actually look forward to seeing the power of such a large array just for fun?

Zhong Yue blinked his eyes and followed Xin Huo's instruction step by step into the array without making a wrong move. He then thought in his heart, If such an explosion occurs, it must be as terrifying as a herculean natural disaster, and this entire Beast God Ridge would be erased completely. Perhaps, only those who want to see the whole world burn will hope for such explosion occur?

"Brat Yue, if this huge array exploded, it must be a spectacular scene! Let's see if we could dig out that high platform that sank here to complete this large slaughtering array!" said the excited Xin Huo.

Yep, I have been influenced by him , thought Zhong Yue.

Xin Huo continued deciphering the formula of the array, and he murmured something while guiding Zhong Yue. With Xin Huo's guidance, they slowly walked deeper and deeper into the array.

"Why are there totem carvings on this stone tablet?"

Zhong Yue asked curiously as he suddenly saw a stone tablet with fresh blood stains and peculiar totem carvings.

The other stone tablets remained clean, and totem carvings would only appear if someone triggered the array. The totem carvings would then automatically disappear after the intruders that provoked the array have died.

The totem carvings on this stone tablet are definitely not the seal of the Beast God. It must be someone else's doing, could it be the teacher of that buck just now? That monster Qi Practitioner ? Zhong Yue then thought, Is he thinking of leaving these totem carvings here to breach the seals and suppress the totem of the Seven Slaughtering Array?

He scrutinized those totem carvings and discovered that these carvings were very complicated. The patterns of these carvings were completely different as compared to the carvings from Swords Gate. The totem carvings from Swords Gate all stemmed from nature; the techniques he learned from Swords Gate up until now were all conceived from mother nature's image.

But these totem carvings from the monster race had an immense killing intent concealed within it, especially when they were created with blood to augment its power!

This is human blood! Zhong Yue smelled the blood, and his face turned incredibly cold. The blood used to create the totem carvings was human blood, what was even worse was that it was the blood of children!

Are we humans really that puny outside of the wilderness? Xin Huo said humans are the descendants of the Fuxi, so why did we devolve to such a state ? He recollected his thoughts and walked toward the center of the array under Xin Huo's guidance. Not long after, he saw a thick miasma formed by an immensely monstrous Qi.

Within the miasma, a huge figure formed with flowing blood could be seen wriggling faintly.

Is that the monster Qi Practitioner?

Just as he had this thought come up in his mind, the miasma suddenly moved rapidly, and the colossus in the miasma turned around. Zhong Yue then saw a huge red eye staring at him!

Suddenly, a massive wave of nausea struck Zhong Yue, and a huge blood eye that was a few mus in radius appeared in his psyche ocean, staring at him!

As the blood eye stared at him, he could feel all of his blood start rushing into his head and psyche ocean, waiting for the blood eye to devour them.

Such a creepy attack, did that monster Qi Practitioner launch his attack already? Who gave him the guts to attack me in my own psyche ocean?

Zhong Yue muffled a sneer and visualized the Sui Sovereign in his psyche ocean. As the Sui Sovereign slowly formed in his psyche ocean, the seawater in his psyche ocean became violent and thunder started rampaging!

Where the thunder and lightning struck, nothing could obstruct their path, where their powers plowed into, nothing would remain intact!

As the Sui Sovereign materialized, he was like a godly emperor in his imperial court, striking fear into all devils!

The huge blood eye floating in this psyche ocean immediately got burnt and disintegrated into a pure psyche that rained down all over Zhong Yue's psyche ocean, increasing his psyche capacity by almost a fold!

Consuming this blood eye is equivalent to almost a hundred Feather Spirit Pellets! Zhong Yue was shocked and happy about it, and a muffled groan came out from the miasma.

After the miasma dispersed, the gods hiding inside also disappeared, and a voice could be heard saying coldly, "Qi Practitioner of Swords Gate? Oh my, you are a very young Qi Practitioner. If I captured you and sold you to the slave traders outside of the Great Wilderness, I might be rewarded richly! I assume my three disciples are now gone since you are here?"

Qi Practitioner? Did he mistake me as a Qi Practitioner? Did he not realize that I am not even a Qi Practitioner?

Zhong Yue felt confused by the question but little did he know that as he managed to dissolve and absorb the blood eye in his psyche ocean, his incredible psyche capacity and strength appeared equally strong as a Qi Practitioner's even though it did not bring much harm to that monster Qi Practitioner!
