Chapter 37 - The Beast God’s Seal (1/2)

Yu Feiyan and Li Xiuniang's faces changed drastically, they quickly shouted and tried to stop him, "Junior Martial Brother Zhong come back!"

Zhong Yue strode forward at a speed that was even faster than an elite steed, and he replied, "If the buck reaches his teacher, none of us will make it out alive!"The two young ladies watched as he maneuvered like a Jiao Dragon, making his way up to the mountain in a few moments and disappearing from their sights!

"Junior Martial Brother Zhong is trying to buy us some time. Otherwise, if the monster Qi Practitioner is alerted, we will all die here!"Li Xiuniang quickly said, "Immediately catch up with Tao Daier and the others, leave the Beast God Ridge and inform the Swords Gate!"

Yu Feiyan nodded, the two ladies flew into the skies, Yu Feiyan with her pair of wings and Li Xiuniang stepped on the lotus flowers that bloomed beneath her feet, they quickly chased up to the others.

It was not long before they reached up to the other disciples, they all decisively departed out of the Beast God Ridge. Li Xiuniang and Yu Feiyan cast their gazes downward and saw Zhong Yue closing distance with the buck, the man, and beast both clashed for a slight second, but the beast did not want to be entangled in a protracted fight. He leaped again to leave Zhong Yue behind, and the blood from his wound sprinkled across the air behind him!

Let's hope that Junior Martial Brother Zhong can slay the buck before the monster Qi Practitioner is alerted and that he can return safely… The young ladies prayed in their hearts.

The buck ran like a human, he was human-bodied with a buck's head and legs, wearing a goat fur coat. There was only one goat horn intact on his white-bearded buck head, while the other goat horn was sliced off by Zhong Yue.

The mountain cliff was like a white curtain that laid down in the middle of nowhere. Its appearance was fairly incongruous with the rest of the Beast God Ridge.

If it were Li Xiuniang or Yu Feiyan or the others, they would be surprised as they had never once seen such a blanched cliff the past times they were here in the Beast God Ridge—the cliff had only emerged recently!

But it was Zhong Yue, a man who was never here before. Hence he was not surprised. All his focus was concentrated on the escaping buck.

"Teacher, teacher save me!"Gongyang was surrounded by the thunderous Sword Qi, he ran into the mountain cliff without the slightest reduction in speed nor any hesitation, and he cried out for help, "Teacher…"

The buck's speed was incredible; if he rammed into the mountain cliff at this speed, he would have slammed himself into a lump of crushed meat. Zhong Yue abided it all and the lightning beneath his feet flared-up, his speed became faster, and he was beginning to close in on Gongyang.

But just right at the moment Gongyang seemingly collided with the mountain rocks, the mountain rocks blurred as if they were ethereal illusions, allowing the buck to disappear into the mountain rocks.

Zhong Yue's heart thumped quicker in surprise, he then followed in pursuit, the mountain rocks became magnified to fill his vision as he drew closer to it and before the point of collision, the rocks blurred and Zhong Yue passed through smoothly without encountering any obstruction.

"Sword Qi!"

Zhong Yue mumbled out, lightning surrounded his body and protected him like a cradle, fending him off from any sneak attacks. He then looked around at the surroundings.
