1397 The Elemental Hands Brutality Part 2 (1/2)
Among the surviving troops, the captain knew of Prince Saleen. He even knew that Saleen was a powerful mage, like the current empress of the empire.
What the feared was Saleen going off to save Safilos and ending up dead, which was why he asked Saleen to provide reinforcements to Holy Rock City.
The mages who attacked them were too powerful, and he deemed Saleen too ill-prepared to take them on single-handedly.
”You people did good. I'd take you all in on behalf of Safilos. Come with me. No need to worry about cleaning up the battlefield, since no one will be left alive down there, ” Saleen said as he opened a portal to take the warriors to the Floating City.
The transport was a piece of cake, as no one dared to resist.
Saleen then summoned the Violet Angel along with about 300 Bug Angel Warriors, over 100 demons, and some ancient warriors and star figures.
His ragtag forces numbered about 1,200 units. He was hoping to see which ones would be the most lethal to the mages.
Alchemy City's mages wanted to engage with Safilos and no one was more aware of that than Saleen. That was why he took a carriage to Safilos's city—to attract the mage's attention.
If he was seen getting along with Safilos, those mages would have been pissed as hell.
Naturally, Saleen was using Safilos to irritate the mages of Alchemy City, but he never thought they would decimate the entire city. Safilos hadn't declared war on the Elemental Hand, so why did those mages overstep their boundaries by doing what they did?
You sh*ts go about killing civilians just because I showed up, huh?
If he let the Elemental Hand get away with this, no one would get near him in the future.
An intense killing instinct welled up in Saleen as he cranked up the speed to over 500 kilometers an hour. Thirty minutes later, he was in Safilos's city.
The city walls were already demolished. Hundreds of mages in the sky cast magic below.
They were working at a leisurely pace, apparently not taking Safilos for a fool.
Safilos was a level-10 true might, and there were six level-10 mages in the sky. Among the rest of the sorcerers were over a dozen level-9s. Most of the remaining sorcerers were at level-7.
Saleen might have been at level-11 at the moment, but he was still guarding against level-7 magic spells.
The city walls were crushed by level-7 mages.
The Elemental Hand suffered significant losses while clashing with the skeletal dragon. How did they manage to assemble hundreds of sorcerers in their broken conditions? That being said, Saleen had seen his fair share of grand battles and had more than 100,000 enchanters in the Floating City.
That kind of power no longer concerned Saleen. He was more afraid of high-level gods.
”Rafel, do you have a lot of experience fighting mages?” Saleen asked Rafel, who was near him.
”No. My god never picked fights with humans. That would been a calamity,” Rafel answered; this surprised Saleen. From his perspective, Rafel's combat capacity was above her current level.
The angels of the Metal God were daunting, so the Metal God was probably equally strong. A level-18 god was the most prevailing being in existence.
So, even gods like that came to fear humans then?
Rafel seemed to know what was going on in Saleen's mind. She said in a low voice, ”My lord, humans have astronomical numbers. It wasn't just the ones on Myers Mainland. The number of humans back then had grown so much they started giving the gods real headaches.
That's when Saleen realized the only advantage humans had when fighting gods was superior numbers. With the races subjugated by humans and their allies considered, humans could have dominated the entire crystal wall system.
Back in the day, humans acted as if they owned the crystal wall system. They destroyed countless sovereigns, all divine kingdoms.
Saleen suddenly realized that the powerful gods had been outnumbered by humans. What's more, humans, in a crazed state, had plundered planes and inflicted more damage than the crystal wall system could withstand.
”Well then, go out and get yourself some experience.” Saleen cast Lightning Constellation and his territorial powers were released, shrouding all mages in the area within.
Rafel attacked in silence. One-hundred metal angels appeared from behind. They were all summoned from the Floating City.
The Lightning Constellation in the sky unleashed lightning bolts. Despite being at level-11, they were not fatal to humans. None of the mages of the Elemental Hand knew that. They scattered and scurried like frightened rats, trying to take cover as the lightning bolts flew from above.
Rafel had an easy time dealing with a bunch of people who'd lost their will to fight. Yes, the enemy were mages. Yes, they were acting like timid sheep.
In addition, the level difference between the two parties meant that Rafel only needed to focus her attention on the six level-10 mages.
Saleen observed closely and found that none of the six were the elders of the Elemental Hand; they were newly advanced young people. Amazing.
Godd*mn! The Elemental Hand had become even more treacherous!
”Don't panic!” The six core level-10 mage trainers shouted using magic that shocked mental powers. While their magic was several orders of magnitude behind Thundering Shock, it was still effective.
