1298 Seeing the Angel of Fear Again Part 1 (2/2)

The archangel had intelligence and had inherited many memories originating from the gods. She was able to recognize the Bug Angel.

It looked like the damned humans were battling the gods. Who cared whether or not this was the plane of the Myers Continent, she would first help the bugs out. Then...she could consider whether to kill the bugs or transform them into metal gods.

The archangel made up her mind to first treat Alchemy City's mages as her enemy. Alchemy City was unlucky. The metal angels' numbers were not big, but the combat ability of each one was equivalent to a strong level 10 person.

No matter how much the powers of the hundreds of metal angels were suppressed, it would still not decrease down to level 9. The city territory borrowed the aid of the rules of the plane.

The cuts from the metal angels' epees were sufficiently threatening towards the safety of the magical towers. The nine grand elders had no choice but to suck it up and withstand it. They began to organize a comprehensive counterattack.

Alchemy City had always been on the offensive, but today they had to defend. It was a disgrace.

The Elemental Hand's operations finally smoothened. Although the number of deaths became greater and greater, the nine grand elders had communicated thoroughly with all of the core mages and began to make arrangements for the battle.

In the city, 360 magical towers flashed. With the nine great magical towers as the core, they faced out layer by layer, forming a gigantic magic array. The destroyed magic amplifier slowly began to regenerate. After half an hour, the magic amplifier would be able to be activated once more.

Once the magic amplifier was activated, all of the mages and magical towers acknowledged by the Elemental Hand would have double the attack capabilities, and their battle-sustaining capabilities would be increased more than 10 times. It was the truly terrifying part of the magic amplifier.

Attack capabilities being doubled meant that the enemy's defensive power would be decreased by one level.

The city territory originally had a rule that would reduce the defenses of enemies. In the core area of Alchemy City, the overlapping effects of combat meant that the defensive power of enemies would be reduced to a quarter of their original level.

In that half an hour, the Elemental Hand began to constantly use summoning skills. Creatures from all kinds of plans were summoned and fought with the metal angels. The archangel held her long spear and did not attack. She was only directing the metal angels. The intelligence of the metal angels was not considerably high. It was only with her directions that they were able to truly suppress those weak humans.

By summoning creatures, the city's various kinds of defensive instruments began to demonstrate their might.

Under the guidance of the Elemental Hand, the alchemy crossbows were all fitted with barrels which had been infected with metallic poison. There were explosive arrows. There were even many magic arrows which had been purchased from Metatrin City through a middleman. Even Saleen did not know that he had sold items that had been purchased by Alchemy City.

The magic arrays had been sold by Saleen for a price that was cheaper by more than half of Alchemy City's. Alchemy City's manufacturing costs were not low. Purchasing them was cheaper than making them themselves.

The products of Metatrin City's alchemic factory showed great quality. The explosive arrows were a rare type of alchemy crossbow barrel and were difficult to store. Furthermore, if the sharpness was insufficient, it would be difficult for it to inflict a fatal injury upon its target.

If the barrel exploded outside of heavy armor, it would become inferior to a rupturing arrow that could pierce through heavy armor.

The gigantic alchemy crossbow shot down from a height. It was only after it was embedded into the metal angel's body that it would cause a severe explosion. This explosion would cause an elemental counterbalance, or even elemental turbulence, which would be fatal towards an elemental creature like the metal angel. Of course, it was not common. Its value was equivalent to a level 9 magic spell scroll.

Level 9 magic spell scrolls could only be used by a mage who was at least level 8. If it was the alchemy crossbow, a soldier and a magic apprentice would be able to operate it. That was why the alchemy crossbow was so expensive. There were too few level 8 mages. As for magic apprentices, Alchemy City could easily gather hundreds of thousands of them.

A large hole appeared in the metal angels who had been hit. It was difficult to heal the hole as it continuously eroded the metal angel's body.

Once the archangel saw, it immediately aimed the long spear at the crossbowman on that floor.

The crossbowman panicked, fired three metallic explosive crossbow barrels in succession, and threw aside the alchemy crossbow and escaped with the magic apprentice.

Boom!

A red current hit the tall building. Half of the building, that had been built with magicite, was immediately destroyed by the energy current. The crossbowman had escaped quickly enough. He jumped along the side of the building with a long piece of rope tied around his body.

The archangel saw that the alchemy crossbow had been destroyed. There was no point in looking for the crossbowman. Instead, she directed the metal angels to attack the magical tower in front of them.

Saleen had gone along with Inbosa and arrived at the southwest part of the city. This time, Inbosa had a very easy time. He retrieved a gigantic metal puppet from his spatial equipment. The puppet was not an offensive model. After its four huge metallic legs expanded, a magic drill appeared at the bottom of the puppet.

Although the magic drill was valuable, it was much cheaper than the Dissolution Spell scroll.

There were complicated magic patterns on the drill. The puppet began to drill into the ground. Grand Duke Iron Blood and the Iron Blood Warriors cleared the surrounding magical towers for Inbosa. All of the warehouse's surroundings were protected by magical towers. Fortunately, the magic amplifier had not regained its function, so the Iron Blood Warriors' defensive powers still existed.

Saleen propped up his Water Shield helped Grand Duke Iron Blood while he was at it. Inbosa retrieved dozens of metal machinery, installing them onto his puppet and arranging it to form a last minute small metal fortress.
