When in the Imperial City of the Abyss, powerful ones were either trapped in the Cemetery of Heroes or the astrology tower. The elemental creature before them was the most obnoxious of creatures still capable of moving in such a desolate place.

Due to the high density of elements present in the city, the amount of elemental creatures was frighteningly high.

There were actually magic arrays that were still working at the center of the city. They were magic arrays created by ancient humans to summon or create elemental creatures. Despite the place being practically a dead city, the amount of lingering elemental creatures were still terrifying.

The ones that were attacking the magic tower were earth elemental creatures: an Elemental Stone Statue Soldier. It differed from the ones that Saleen subjugated in the sense that it was a level ten creature, but it did not have a soul.

”Nice place indeed, Saleen. I'd need your help with territorial powers to capture that Stone Statue Soldier out there.”

Jason had no problem fighting such a massive creature—about a hundred meters tall—all on his own. However, his territory was not a well-controlled one and it was far from being able to be formed into a world on its own.

If the Water Flame Territory and the Blazing Flame Territory were used there, any target attacked would be killed right away with zero chance of survival.

The reason Jason was in such a rush to craft a magic amplifier was because his territory was too powerful and difficult to control.

The ability that mattered the most to a mage was the ability to control their powers. Otherwise, a mage might be very powerful, but their powers could only be used for destruction, not creation.

If the Water Flame Alchemy Territory and the Blazing Flame Soul-refinement Territory were combined, it would have given birth to the Blackfire Spirit spell.

With the addition of a magic amplifier, the power of a spell was guaranteed while many requirements and parameters of spells could be lowered, including offensive capacity. The less offensive one's spell was, the easier it would be to control.

The range of Saleen's territory was incredible. When expanded, it could easily reach over a hundred miles. When the Puppet World Territory was used, the Elemental Stone Statue Soldier outside the magic tower was quickly surrounded by over a hundred thousand puppets and attacked.

The massive Earth Battleaxe appeared in the level ten Elemental Stone Statue Soldier's hand, which looked terrifying when wielded by an elemental creature. Saleen's territory did not manage to cut down the Elemental Stone Statue Soldier's combat capacity. Any puppet in the territory that was even grazed by the battleaxe disintegrated right away.

However, the puppets in the territory were simply an extension and manifestation of the territory. When they were destroyed, they were converted into energy and resurrected.

The battleaxe only managed to take away a minute part of the energy used to create a puppet when it fell. According to actual damage suffered, the puppets would be able to continue resurrecting even if they were cut down thousands of times.

However, Saleen could not maintain the territory indefinitely. If they captured the massive elemental creature, Saleen had to make a move himself.

It was easy for Saleen to capture the Stone Statue Soldier. The creature had only been difficult to deal with due to the lack of effective equipment. The Elemental Stone Statue Soldier was too strong and only Sika would be able to fight it head on.

Any common folk who were attacked by the Elemental Stone Statue Soldier would have no choice but to evade its attacks.

At present, Saleen had a piece of equipment, which, while the attributes of the equipment were unusable, was the perfect gear for capturing things. The equipment was the huge net that the head inquisitor had used to capture Nailisi.

The net's attributes had been wiped clean by Saleen. Even if the Lord of Glory came personally, there would be no way to restore the net's attributes. The only use the net had at the moment was to capture things.

Saleen stepped outside the tower and arrived coincidentally at the top of the Stone Statue Soldier's head. He spread the net out like a fisherman would when catching fish, trapping the Stone Statue Soldier.

The net trapped the Stone Statue Soldier's body, and it attempted to tear the net off by swinging its battleaxe, but quickly found that it was unable to tear the elastic net.

The level ten Stone Statue Soldier breathed fire. No one expected the Stone Statue Soldier to be able to convert earth element to fire element at level ten.

Countless sharp, flat pieces of rock shot from the Stone Statue Soldier's body, attempting to cut the net away again. However, the net was completely undamaged.

The Stone Statue Soldier flew into blind rage, leaping 100 meters away from the ground and expanding its body quickly, attempting to break the net.

Nailisi was bored watching from inside the tower. The net almost took her life and she hated the equipment more than anything else. Despite the Stone Statue Soldier being completely trapped, she was not amused.

If it had not been for the fact that the net was nigh-indestructible, she would tell Saleen to destroy it. Every time she saw the net, she felt as if she was being captured again. It was the first time Nailisi felt insulted since becoming Saleen's follower.

However, Saleen was reluctant to throw the piece of equipment away. The material was peculiar. It was capable of expanding and shrinking to various sizes.

At its largest, it was capable of capturing a single-horned white whale, and at its smallest, it was capable of binding magic bugs the size of a fingernail. Saleen hardly felt any pressure from the trip to the city compared to his last several visits.
