Chapter 44 - Gines Trump Card! (1/2)

The battle commenced again, this time, there were now 16 fighters left. This was the 5th round, which knockout 8 people. Gine had her fight and won, she was fortunate enough to not fight someone like Pikkon.

Bardock won his battle, he received a great Zenkai Boost after his fight with Torbie. Once he was healed, he was stronger than he was before. The person he fought was actually a fortunate guy who didn't go up against strong opponents.

Now, it was time for the Quarter-Finals!

Bardock had to fight against Olibu and Gine had a match against a guy named Caterpy, who was the disciple of South Kai. Obibu and Caterpy were characters that appeared in Dragonball Z, so he knew the depths of their strength.

Kayn told Gine that she would need to go Kaio-Ken x20 in order to beat such a guy. He told Bardock that if he couldn't go Super Saiyan again, then he could forget about winning the match.

Kayn fought some ninja guy, who used strange ninja techniques. He mainly used shadow attacks, he even summoned a shadow of Kayn to fight for him. Sadly, he was still beaten in the end, he was annoying to catch and knock out of the ring because of his ability to hide so well.

Gine had her match as well, she managed to beat Olibu and advanced to the Semi-Finals. However, Bardock was held by Caperpy and tickled, then thrown out of the ring, losing the match. Pikkon, of course, won his match and also advanced to the Semi-Finals.

”What a round, we're now nearing the end of the tournament! It really pains me that such a good tournament is ending.” The announcer seemed sad, but he enjoyed the fights nevertheless.

This time, everyone was given a 30-minute break.

Kayn had to fight Caterpy, while Gine was up against Pikkon! Gine wanted to see if Kayn knew anything about this opponent and how she could win. Kayn told her to go all out against him and to use everything she had to fight this guy.

He couldn't just tell her that she had no way of beating him; that wouldn't seem so helpful or nice. It was the truth, but it was best to hide the truth in certain cases.

This time, the matches were solo fights, there wasn't 2 at a time battles anymore. The arenas suddenly connected with one another to form an even bigger arena.

The first match was Kayn Vs Caterpy.

Caterpy had the colors of the pokemon Caterpy and even looked like it, but he was bigger. Once he saw Kayn walk onto the stage, he started to move his hands and fingers in a weird manner.

”The Semi-Final round will start....Now!”

With those words, Caperpy slithered his way quickly over to Kayn. He had a strange smile on his face, he was clearly going to tickle Kayn for a while, then toss him out of the ring.

He extended all of his arms to grab Kayn, which he successfully did. ”Hehe, to make you feel better when you lose, I'll make you laugh first, then off with you.” Caterpy's goofy voice resound in Kayn's ear.

Caterpy started to tickle Kayn, but he didn't laugh. He had already guarded his body with Ki to prevent himself from laughing. Kayn was actually a ticklish person, so if he was caught in this pace he might be in trouble slightly.

”Laugh damn it, you know you can't hold it in!” Caterpy was sweating, this skill had always worked, how could he resist? Kayn disappeared from Caterpy's hand and appeared behind him.

”Huh? How did you..?” Caterpy was stunned and turned around quickly to grab Kayn again. However, Kayn stuck his hand out and a barrier formed over Caterpy's body; locking him inside.

”Let me out!” Caterpy was punching the barrier with all his might, but nothing worked.

”I'll let you out in a moment, relax.” Kayn smiled and lifted his hand; this also caused the barrier to rise off the ground as well.

”This is cheating, you can't do this!” Caterpy knew what Kayn was trying to do, as he walked to the edge of the arena.

”Then tickling people should be cheating, but no one complained about that. Haha, you lose Caterpod.”

”It's Caterpy!” Caterpy screamed, but it sounded funny since his voice seemed stuffy and goofy. Kayn placed him gently out of the ring, winning the match with ease.

”Uh... Winner, Kayn..” The mushroomed announcer said loudly.

Caterpy ran over to the announcer and started complaining about how Kayn cheated. However, everyone just boo'ed at him, saying he was a sore loser who tickled people to victory.

”Unfair, life's unfair!” Caterpy's expression completely sunk.

”Caterpy, stop complaining or I'll make you lift 10 tons for 9 hours for a month!” South Kai walked over to retrieve the complaining Caterpy; taking him away.

The next battle was now starting, it was Gine Versus Pikkon.

”Prepare yourself.” Pikkon said bluntly.

”I'll be ready.” Gine and Pikkon stared each other down.

”Hoho, the tension is rising! The match will start, now!” The announcer couldn't wait to see this fight.

Gine waved her hands and lasers shot out of each of her fingers. Ten lasers quickly targeted Pikkon, however, once they reached him they passed through his body like an afterimage. Gine looked confused, she punched and Ki blast continued to shoot out her fist, but they kept passing through Pikkon.
