132 Stopover (1/2)
Torin shook his head, looking at Lyra's drunk walking as she came out of the restaurant room. He quickly ran towards her.
”You're so wasted!” he hissed as he supported Lyra to walk steadily towards the car.
”Oh, Bro… I really had a great time tonight. They all praised me, saying that I am full of potential to become one of our country's most sought-after lawyers. Hahaha, those two-faced people! How can I become the most sought-after lawyer if they keep giving me clerical works?!” Lana shouted in her stuttering voice.
”Let's seriously talk about your problems at work once you are sober! Geez! You drunkard!” Torin complained as he settled her in the passenger seat.
Lyra was so frisky that while Torin was fastening her seatbelt, she pinched his nose saying, ”When you are scolding me like that, you are so cute, Bro!”
Then she cupped Torin's face as if she did not get contented with what she was seeing.
”Look, you're so handsome. How come you are still single, Bro?! You should get married soon!” said Lyra as she touched Torin's eyebrow, nose…
When Torin felt Lyra's hand on his lips, he abruptly flinched and exclaimed, ”Damn! Stop it, Lyra!”
But the latter just laughed at him and pulled him even closer.
”I'm curious how a kiss would actually feel like. Can you show me?” Lyra whispered before her lips touched Torin's.
Torin stiffed at that very instant. He felt his world froze!
The kiss deepened… But then it stopped…
Torin opened his eyes.
”What's this?! How come you just passed out like this?!” Torin complained seeing how heavy Lyra's breathing was.
He let out a frustrated sigh as he gently closed the car's door.
He stood there unmoving for a minute as he loudly inhaled and exhaled. It was possible that tomorrow Lyra wouldn't even remember what she had done.
As usual, he would be the only one who would be tormented with the memories about it all.
”Darn!” he cursed irritably as he regretted that he insisted to pick Lyra up instead of calling Zach to do it.
”Why do you always torture yourself like this, Torin,” he mumbled annoyingly as he walked to the driver's side.
.........
The next morning, Keira received another call from John.
”What? Are you sure?” Keira burst out as her eyes narrowed and her face became gloomy.
Then a smirk replaced that dark expression.
”Such a coincidence, huh? Let's see how things would turn out then…” she mumbled.
”Alright, keep me updated even about the slightest details.” Said Keira before hanging up the phone.
”Geez, Miss is on fire, tasking us a lot, urghh?” Commented John and made Jim laugh.
”Here, drink this and let's hurry they will soon travel to the General's hometown,” said Jim as he started eating his burger inside the car as they waited for Zach's car to get out from the building's parking.
They still followed Miss Kiera even when she was with the General, but they made sure their distance was enough to not get noticed or become a disturbance, especially on their dates because Miss Keira would definitely poke their eyes out.
