131 Cruel Fate (1/2)
”Good morning,” said Lyra. She was preparing breakfast for Torin and her.
”Morning,” Torin answered. Lyra was wearing her business suit that perfectly fitted her and emphasized her curvy body.
”Can you breathe in that at all?” Torin asked that made Lyra laugh.
”Of course, the Lius are generous with their legal team. I'm even provided with nice suits like this one. Many people have actually complimented me because of nice assets, so a business suit like this looks good on me,” Lyra proudly announced that made Torin twitch.
She was indeed gifted with a perfect body, but he was irritated knowing that someone was feasting at her.
He sighed and looked at his mobile phone.
Lana still hadn't contacted him. He wanted to try his luck with Lana because she was his ideal woman. So he wanted to, at least, try and see if his heart would finally change its direction.
But it seemed that fate was really cruel with him. Lana appeared to be not interested in him at all.
'Cruel fate back-off!' he mused as if he tried to rebuke a bad omen.
Lyra, on the other hand, looked intently at Torin. She felt weird since the night Torin made fun of her.
Well, it was not the first time her heart raced fast like that beside Torin, but she did want to entertain those feelings because she knew that Torin only saw her as a little sister.
She quickly withdrew her eyes when Torin raised his head and said, ”Try this. This is the first time I cooked it.”
She put some at Torin's plate.
”By the way, we have an event later, so I will be home very late,” said Lyra as she paused but then added, ”and probably drunk too.”
Torin's forehead creased as he asked, ”Drunk? Then don't drink!”
Lyra laughed and commented, ”It's inevitable, Bro.”
Torin raised an eyebrow as he said, ”Call me once it's finished. I'll pick you up.”
”No need, someone will send me off. The team really take good care of us, so they won't let me leave alone for sure,” said Lyra simply.
”Tell me where's that event at least,” Torin murmured.
Lana sighed and replied, ”Alright Bro, I'll text the address to you.”
'Damn that 'BRO' word!' Torin hissed inwardly.

Keira briskly washed her face and teeth and put on her most conservative sleepwear.
She smiled at her reflection in the mirror before she got her favorite pillow and ran towards the door.
She wanted to surprise Zach and sleep with him that night. She inputted Zach's password and entered his condo.
”Hmm, he's already inside his room this early?” Keira mumbled because he was not in the living room or kitchen.
She gently opened the door of his room and gasped, ”Wow!”
Zach's room was very organized and clean, very different from hers.
She saw the lights were on in the bathroom. Zach was probably getting ready for sleep.
Keira looked around the room.
Zach's room had that masculine simplicity touch, it's suited his personality very well.
There's a simple bed in neutral colors but subtly spiced up with a bold accent. The bedroom presented a sleek, simple and sophisticated interior design where function reigned supreme.
