Chapter 32：32. Best-man Duties (2/2)

”Bathroom, woman's bathroom, I'm not going out. Bar brawl. Jemmy got hurt. Hurry James! I'm scared!” Then I shrieked as my door was knocked from the outside. And the handle was rattling as if someone was trying to get in. I sobbed even harder.

”Fuck! Hold on! Don't open the door for anyone but me. I'm almost there.”

It felt like hours until James finally came. ”Lori baby, open up love. I'm here.” He knocked the door, as I quickly open it for him. The guy that rattled my door was already passed out on the floor. Definitely drunk.

”Shit! Goddamn it!” He took off his jacket and give it to me, I didn't even realize that my shirt was ripped. I was still shaking, and finally calm down in his arms.

”Home. I want to go home James.” I was inhaling his scent, taking in his warmth. I was cold, so cold. I was still shivering.

”Yes baby, home. I saw Jeremy outside with the medics, he was still unconscious. Let me take you to my car, then we'll call Riley okay?” I nodded, and let him carried me out side to his car.

The medics ask if I wanted to get checked, but I shook my head crying. ”I don't want anybody touching me, James. Home, want to go home.” I pleaded to him. He kissed my temple and put me in his car. He settled everything with Riley, then we drive home.

We finally arrived at his place, he had made me move to his place couple of days ago. So, this had been home for us.

”Lori, drink this, it'll warm you up. I'm going to prepare your bath. You got this baby. I'm here, I'll take care of you.” He lowered his lips to mine and kissed me slowly until I relaxed in his arms, and started moaning his name.

”There's my Lori.” He kissed my temple, and left me to finish my drink.

He carried me to my bath minutes later, I insisted that he join me. He finally stripped and joined me. He washed my body and my hair, leaving no trace of what happen. Then he hold me in his arms, until the water turned cold.

He cuddled me in our bed, saying all the sweet words in my ear. I was fast a sleep naked in his arms.

I woke up screaming, James quickly hugged me to him. My face to his chest, as I sighed relaxing in his arms.

”You're good baby. I'm here. I'm so sorry, I should've been there with you tonight.” He kissed the top of my head, and keep on saying his loving words until I was sleeping again.
