Chapter 33：33. Cant Lose You (1/2)

I woke up with him by my side. I smiled and snuggled in closer to him. ”Lori, if you keep on getting closer, I might just give it to you.” But he pulled me closer to him anyway, as he sighed and hugged me tighter.

”How are you feeling this morning?” He stroked my hair and rub my arm.

”Better, thank you. Please hold me just a bit longer.”

”You've got me for the next several days Lori, I'm working from home. I'm not leaving you out of my sight. I love you baby, and you really scared me last night.”

”You will? Are you sure? I'm safe here. I don't want to be a burden James.” I started to get up, but he was not letting me go.

”It's either me, or I'm calling my mom to take care of you. I'm not leaving you alone. That's final.”

”I don't know about cuddling with your mom. So, I'm having you then.” He chuckled and kissed my hair.

We stayed in bed for the next fifteen minutes until I felt the urge to use the bathroom, then I did my morning stuff, while he said he would make us coffee.

”I'm serious before baby. You were right about the possibility of loosing each other, and not giving a try on us. How superficial my thinking was about our age differences. You are actually the more realistic one out of both of us. I do love you Lori, and I don't want to lose you.” He took my waist and pulled me closer to him, and he give me the sweetest kiss making me sighed afterwards.

”So, have you checked on Jeremy? He was pretty beat up last night. We could go visit him if you're up for it?” He was handing my coffee.

”Oh my I need to call them. And yes please, I'd like to see them.” James was getting dressed while I call Riley and asked about Jeremy.

An hour later we were at Jeremy's. He looked pale, he got hit on the head pretty hard. The wedding would still go as planned, everything was already scheduled and paid for Jeremy said.

”Jemmy baby, are you sure? Riley? is he really okay?” I asked them, as I was seriously concerned about Jeremy.

”We've done all the scans last night, doctor said he's good to go. Lori, last night must've looked horrible from your view. But he's actually okay. The doctor had cleared him, I'm actually more worried about you. Jeremy said you were kicking and screaming last night?” I saw James clenching his jaw hearing this.

”Yeah it was pretty scary, I was dragged down and got pulled into the brawl then there was this drunk, and so on...but I'm good now. Got James to picked me up and took care of me.” I grabbed his hand and stroked it.

We said our goodbyes to them, and continue on to have lunch at a restaurant before we go back home. Then his phone rang, he picked it up and palmed his face then looked at his watch.

”Yes mom, no. Yes, she's here with me. We're having lunch. Right, yes. I'll asked her. Now? Right. Wait... ” He cupped his phone and talked to me.

”Lori, I kind of forgot about this thing my parents is hosting, and mom asked if you could join me? Just say yes please?” He face begged me to say yes. Then I wickedly looked at him.
