Chapter 60 (1/2)

It was a shooting competition and the sort she enjoyed watching. She could not resist walking over for a look.

As a child, she watched a lot of dramas and movies about the special forces. She admired the occupation and found female special forces soldiers to be particularly cool.

She used to have a toy gun at home, the sort which required bullets loaded. When no one was around, she adored playing with it on her own. Hitting leaves on the trees or even attempting to hit birds but with no success at all.

She also played with slingshots before and was excellent at it.

Walking towards the crowd, Ji Anning caught sight of a large event noticeboard stating the rules of the game.

It was a fruit shooting competition. Based on the rules, the participants were to shoot the most number of fruits within a minute and a half.

“First prize: $500 mall dining cash coupons.”

“Second prize: A pair of Flowers in the Mist couples’ mugs.”

“Third prize: $30 movie vouchers.”

Without paying attention to the rest, all Ji Anning eyed was the $500 mall dining cash coupons. It was as good as $500.

Her eyes gleamed before decisively walking up to the employee standing next to the youth who was halfway through the competition, “Where can I sign up for this? I want to join in.”

The employee smiled and told her, “There are three more minutes before this event ends. This guy still has one minute to go. By the time he’s done, it’ll end soon.”

Erm… three more minutes before it ended!

Looking at the guy as he competed, he cut through all levels and even hit the tiny green apples. It appeared he would get to utilize all his time, after all. Then Ji Anning would be left with two minutes, and it was certainly not enough time to finish.

With the thought in her mind, the corners of her lips turned downwards in disappointment.
