28 CHAPTER TWENTY-EIGH (1/2)

Chase's POV

I've made up my mind to find out what's going on between Judith and Ash.

I know Ash very well and seeing him with Judith is not a coincidence.

He knew Judith was my friend and that we got married. So how did they end up together in the club?

I pick my phone and dial Ash's number and after few rings, he answered

”My office now” I say and ended the call.

I wasn't sure if he'd come or not. But let's see how desperate he is.

It was Saturday but I wanted to meet up with him here since I came to pick up some files.

I spoke with my Dad earlier, telling him about Ash coming over to my office to apologize and he told me that's very good and that maybe Ash was just trying to settle the feud between us and I should call him over and talk to him.

I used that as a logic to get Ash to trust me and I pray it works.

I waited for about an hour, keeping myself busy with office work when I hear a knock and I ask them to come in and in came Ash.

He had this excitement over his face and it was bugging me.

”You called” he said taking a seat, and I smile

”I spoke with my Father today and he begged me to talk to you but I wanted to hear what you have to say first” I lied relaxing myself in order not to look doubtful.

”Oh thank God. I just wanted to apologize man, I know I've been a jerk to you in a very long time and I don't want the issue of this company to keep coming in between us so I've decided to let go and get you back.” He explains wearing a fake hurtful expression and I played along. Pretending I was buying it.

”How do I know this is not one of your cunning tricks?” I added even though I already know it is.

”Just give me a chance and I'll prove it to you” he replied and I exhaled.

I stood up and walked to where he was seated and then bent over to his sitting height and got close to his face

”If you are lying to me and I find out, I'll punch you till you have no blood left inside you” I threatened and he gulped and then nodded.

”Very well” he said and I shift and walk to my seat.

There's one thing I know very well about Ash, and that's not giving up this company. So if he's telling me he wants to give up right now then I'm more than sure there's something up his sleeve.

I got home and went straight to the kitchen where I was hearing some noise from, it was Judith and the head of maids, she was saying something funny that was causing them to laugh but I didn't want to ruin my plan and so I played along.

”Oh you're home today” I say as I turn to leave and went straight to my room.

I hear footsteps but i didn't look back.
