“You can leave first. I will meet my brother after a while.” Her brother must still be angry with her. She could not go and meet him. Even if they could not go for their honeymoon trip, they could have fun somewhere else. She would then meet her brother after he had calmed down.

“Miss, President Pei ordered me to bring you to him. Please don’t make it difficult for me.”

When he said it, she knew she could not avoid it anymore. She pouted and said, “Alright, let’s go.”

It was already in the afternoon when Lu Man woke up. Pei Xiuyuan was not by her side so she thought he must have gone to work so she washed up and went to the kitchen. She planned to make herself some noodles to satisfy her hunger.

When she got out of the room, she smelled food. Then, she saw Pei Xiuyuan setting the table.

“You are awake. I was just about to call you after getting everything done.” Thinking that she did not properly have a meal yesterday, she must be very hungry by now. So he wanted to wake her up and get her to eat something before letting her rest some more.

“You don’t have to go to work?”

“Today is a weekend.”

“Oh…” She had forgotten to keep up with the time.

“Come and eat.”

Lu Man did not hesitate. She sat down and ate as she was really hungry.

Pei Xiuyuan did not say anything. He kept her company and picked up some food for her occasionally.

The food tasted familiar. It must be ordered from the Chinese restaurant in front of the street.

After she was full and satisfied, Lu Man suddenly had a thought that nothing was more important than filling her stomach.

She stood up and started clearing the table.

“Someone will do this later.”

“Okay.” Lu Man sat down.

They suddenly felt awkward in each other’s presence.

“Yunxi is coming,” Pei Xiuyuan said.

“Why?”

“To apologise.”

“It is not necessary.” She would not forgive her.

“Manman…”

“Don’t think about making me forgive her. I cannot!” If it was not him getting there in time, unthinkable things would have happened to her. She just could not forgive Wang Yunxi.

“I am not asking you to forgive her. She should apologize to you after she had done such a terrible thing to you.” Even he could not forgive Yunxi, much less expecting Lu Man to do so.

“I do not need her apology.” What was the use of saying sorry now?

“She would be here any moment.” As Pei Xiuyuan said that, he got a call from PA Wang.

“President Pei, Miss Wang was here. Should she go up now?”

“Come up now.”

When Lu Man heard it, she immediately stood up and headed to the room.

As he was passing by Pei Xiuyuan, he pulled her into his arms.

“My silly wife, it is her in the wrong. Why should you avoid her?”

“I am not avoiding her. I just do not want to see her face!” She did not want to see her, especially now after all that had happened!

She had a strong feeling that she would have the urge to beat her up when she saw her!

“Although you cannot kill her, you can take it all out on her. I am giving you a chance to vent your feelings on her, why don’t you just meet her?”

“What do you mean?” Did he mean that he did not just ask Wang Yunxi to apologize, but to let her take it all out on her as well?

“You heard me.”

Lu Man cocked her eyebrows. “Isn’t she your sister?”
