“Really? Did nothing happen?” Lu Man scarcely remembered what happened to her in the car with him, but she had no memory whatsoever of what happened to her before she fainted, but it was certain that she was drugged.

That gave her a chill in the bone. She did not want to think about what had happened.

“Yes.”

“Good… Good…” She mumbled, as if she was persuading herself. Her body was slightly shaking out of fear.

Pei Xiuyuan hugged her tightly. “Really. Nothing happened. I found you before they could even do anything.”

Lu Man did not say anything. She stayed quietly in his arms for a while until she had fully calmed down.

“Who did it? Why did they knock me out with drugs?”

Pei Xiuyuan paused for a few seconds. Then he said, “It was Yunxi.”

“It really was her!” Lu Man had guessed it was her. The only person she had ever offended was Wang Yunxi and only she dared to do such a thing!

Pei Xiuyuan sighed silently, this time the two of them would never reconcile and live peacefully together.

“I will send those people to jail. They will stay there for the rest of their lives.” Not to mention Lu Man’s fear, Pei Xiuyuan was scared too. He could not imagine what would have happened if he was late by one second!

He just did not show his fear to make things worse.

“Including Wang Yunxi?” Lu Man looked up at him.

Pei Xiuyuan was silent for a while. “No.”

Lu Man smirked out of disappointment. She lowered her head and said no more.

Pei Xiuyuan knew she was angry. He knew that it was unfair to her, but Yunxi was his sister. “I will punish her severely!” He promised.

Although he would not send Yunxi to jail, he would not let go of her easily this time. He would punish her for her wrongdoing. She was indeed lawless this time!

“How? Detention? Freezing her credit cards?” Lu Man asked sarcastically. These would probably be his punishment to her.

“I will cane her under the family rules. Then I will send her to the village to reflect on her mistakes. I will freeze her cards as well.” Lu Man’s guesses were right.

She laughed scornfully. Being a lady in a rich family was advantageous. No matter how severe her mistakes were, the punishments imposed on her would not be heavy.

She was this evil but her punishment was just to reflect on her mistakes!

It was barely acceptable not to send her to the police.

But could he let her do as she wanted?

Lu Man knew he would not allow that, but she still said it out loud.

“Manman, I know you are saying this out of grudge.” She did not really mean it.

“I am not! I am serious!” Lu Man was not just saying it. She wanted it for real!

Kind people were very easily bullied by others nowadays. She was not the forgiving Monk Tang1. She would not be kind to anyone wanting to kill her.

“Manman, you know that it is impossible.”

“Then don’t make such a promise!”

“Manman…” Pei Xiuyuan felt helpless.

“I am tired. I want to sleep.” She lay down and stopped talking to him.
