The guests were asked to show their invitation cards when they entered the manor.

Lu Man took out her invitation card and presented it at the reception area. The person at the reception area glanced at her once more when they saw her name on the invitation card. She waited for them to enter the manor. Then, she took out her walkie-talkie and informed her superior that Lu Man was here. It was the woman who Miss Wang had requested their particular attention. She had even informed her superior that Lu Man was accompanied by a man.

“It’s really a luxurious place!” The grandeur of Dream Manor was beyond Lu Man’s expectations. It was indeed a beautiful sight. But, it was extravagant too!

Lu Man was an accountant. The others would always enjoy the beauty of a scene but she would calculate the budget in her head naturally. She would see how much these things cost.

It was not so romantic anymore after she did her calculation.

1“It’s really extravagant! But, the reward is satisfying.” Pei Xiuyuan smiled softly.

“That’s true.” It costs a fortune to hold a wedding there but the result was beyond their expectations.

Dream Manor was huge. It was quite far from the entrance to the wedding hall. They needed to ride on an electromobile in order to get to the wedding hall.

The electromobiles there were decorated nicely. There were various types of electromobiles. The electromobiles could be ridden by two, three, five or ten people. Lu Man chose the one which could only be ridden by two people.

That kind of electromobile was the most romantic one. It was decorated just like a carriage. There was an umbrella-shaped cover and three wavy drapes covering the electromobiles. There were even fresh flowers decorating the carriage. It was a captivating scene.

“I just don’t know who Wang Yunxi is. How could she make such a big scene?” Lu Man was always curious about Wang Yunxi’s identity and background. Feiyue tried contacting a lot of people when Wang Yunxi had framed Lu Man that time. Feiyue wanted to help her but still they could not find out who Wang Yunxi really was.

Haicheng was neither small nor huge. There were only a few influential and rich people or families. They did not know why they could not find out who Wang Yunxi was. They thought that their abilities were not that influential so they could not find out the truth.

“It’s just fine.”

“Oh, by the way, how did you help me to settle that ruse?” Lu Man was talking about that incident when she was wronged and labeled as a robber because of Wang Yunxi.

“Although Yunxi is a reckless girl, she still listens to me.”

“Yunxi?” Lu Man was stunned. Soon, she asked him, “Are you close to her?”

“Yes, very close.”

Lu Man was speechless.

He was close to Wang Yunxi! He was close to the woman who nearly ruined her life!

She could not bring herself to say anything more for a long time.

“What’s wrong?” Pei Xiuyuan looked at her.

“I don’t know how to respond to that.” Lu Man smiled bitterly. It was normal that they knew each other given that Pei Xiuyuan was also an influential person. It was not a shocking event.

But, she was filled with hatred when she thought about Wang Yunxi.

“Do you hate her?” Pei Xiuyuan did not show any facial expression at the moment.

“It’s not hatred. I’ll just grab the chance to put her in her place harshly if I ever get the chance. I’ll not go easy on her!”

Her worst nightmare was when her clothes were torn off in the public. She had been having nightmares about that incident. Sometimes, she even dreamed that she was abandoned by Wang Yunxi in the streets, naked. That kind of humiliation was devastating! She was so helpless that she could not fight for herself. She always woke up from her nightmares feeling scared.

She could neither forget what happened nor forgive her for what she had done.

Clearly, she was not a person who did not take revenge for herself. If there ever was a chance, she would surely make Wang Yunxi pay for what she had done!

Pei Xiuyuan did not say anything more. He looked into the distance and it seemed like he was in deep contemplation.

Lu Man did not say anything more. She had prepared herself mentally before she went to the wedding. But, she could not remain calm when they talked about Wang Yunxi. The surrounding decorations and happy atmosphere reminded her of her past too.

She thought that she had finally let it go but it had surfaced again.

“We’ve reached.” The coachman addressed them respectfully. They soon recovered their emotions.

The main wedding hall was just in front of them. The outdoor wedding hall was even much more beautiful than any wedding hall Lu Man had seen. It was dreamy too.

She became anxious when she was approaching the scene. She held his elbow tightly but subconsciously.

He observed her tenseness and anxiety. He became very cold and distant.
