When Ling Mo took Ye Lian out towards the city’s main district, he discovered that Ye Lian’s change in consciousness wasn’t only displayed in her actions, but her instinct was magnified.

When she faced normal zombies, she treated them as inferior creatures. Her technique in killing them was cleaner and she looked like she was stepping on an unremarkable insect. Her attacking speed also increased. Before, she only looked like a leopard, right now, she was a leopard in human form.

Although the virus’ evolution made Ye Lian appear more human, her actions were closer to a real beast especially when she faced weak prays. Perhaps to Ye Lian, normal zombies were weak dregs.

Ling Mo couldn’t help but to think how she will react when Ye Lian faced a human… But he should be able to prevent her from randomly attacking under his control.

As he rode a bike with Ye Lian and quickly crossed the streets of the city, Ling Mo would enjoy it if they weren’t surrounded by zombies.

However, it didn’t last long. Not long after they entered the city, trouble found them.

These zombies were quick and violent and their attacks were strong. The front glass door of the supermarket soon shattered and the two of them had to back off more, using obstacles such as shelves and counters to avoid attacks.

Ling Mo watched silently from afar and when he wanted to walk around them, but the girl caught his attention.

The girl held a long sword in her hand and she had a grin on her face during the entire fight. Whenever danger approached her, she beheaded them quickly and neatly, killing all the zombies in front of her. The speed of that instant was almost as quick as Ye Lian. If Ling Mo didn’t see it with his own eyes, he wouldn’t have believed that an ordinary little girl with such skills existed.

The main thing was her smile. Usually, when girls were in such a situation, their faces would be pale and trembling if not terrified. But from her expressions, she seemed to enjoy the course of the fight, especially when she was clearly in a disadvantaged situation. No matter how strong she was, her stamina would run out eventually as she faced more and more zombies. Ling Mo could tell that the sudden speed buff of her attacks was not only a huge challenge to her stamina, but also a challenge to her concentration.

Yet, she was still so calm under this situation…
