Hearing her strangely not-cold voice, Ling Chen came to his senses, rushing out with the words “I’m sorry!” before hurriedly stepping out of the door.

“Stay put outside. Don’t think about leaving.”

The woman’s voice rang out from inside the room, and Ling Chen could not help giving a bitter laugh, his initially leaving feet came to a halt.

It was not in his nature to run away and he was indeed in the wrong here. His apology just now was too rushed as well, so he should stay here and properly apologise to the woman and beg for forgiveness.

“You can come in now.”

A few minutes later and the woman inside spoke again.

Ling Chen entered and saw the woman sitting on the sofa. His eyes gleamed, and a trace of surprise entered his gaze.

At that moment, the woman had already changed into a light purple dress, with her hair tied in a bun, leaving only two fine strands of hair going past her shoulders. They were resting in front of her chest and were nestled in the middle of her ample bosom.

Compared to all the beauties that Ling Chen had seen before, the woman exuded a refined temperament from head to bottom. Just by sitting there alone, one could sense the poise, elegance and grace that she possessed.

Ling Chen was not someone unfamiliar with the ways of the world, but a woman like her was seldom seen.

He thus was naturally curious as to the woman’s identity. She only looked to be in her late twenties at the most, so how could she have such a refined temperament.

“Why are you here?”

The beauty leisurely raised her long eyelash, staring straight at Ling Chen as she asked that. Her tone was rather neutral and carried a tinge of maturity and sophistication.

“I took the lift up here, and it only had the button for the fifth floor, so I… I’m really sorry, just now I was only asking for directions and had no intentions of intruding on your privacy. Please do not take it to heart.”

Ling Chen sincerely apologised to her.

“Could it be that no one told you that was my personal elevator?”

Ling Chen shook his head. If he had known that the elevator was for her personal use only, he definitely would not have gone up. Just now, to evade the clutches of the rich housewife, he ran into the elevator without thinking too much about it.

“Since it’s like that, then I can’t blame you for the mistake. It’s an oversight on my employee’s side, so I accept your apology.”

“Ling Chen.”

“This is a private establishment, are you a member here?”

Meeting the woman’s intoxicating gaze, Ling Chen sheepishly scratched the back of his head. “I’m sorry, but Miss Su did not mention that to me. Since that’s the case, then please excuse me.”
