27 Revealing Mystery: Part 9 (1/2)

His Whisper

”Bella! Is everything alright?” Jake asked me without even looking at me.

”Yeah it is don't worry!” I said trying my best to hold back my tears. But I failed. Tears started falling from my eyes without even asking my permission. These days were hard for me because of the all the incidents that kept happening. Did I really become so weak! I wiped my tears off quickly faking a smile.

”I'm fine, Jake. Let's go!” I tried to pull Jake towards the library but he caught my hand and stopped me.

”What the hell did you say to her,huh?” Jake said to Rex with a deadly look in his eyes.

I never saw him like this. He's usually so caring and loving. I was shocked for a bit!

”Hey! Spit it out! What were you saying to her?” Jake was looking fierce.

”Jake!!!” I cried out to him, ”I'm fine, comn on, let's go!!” I said being shocked, with eyes full of fear. I think he guessed that I was getting uncomfortable. His eyes slowly calmed down becoming normal again.

”Are you alright, Bella?” He asked looking sad.

”I am just fine...no trouble at all..” I said assuring him. I didn't want any trouble. People were already whishpering around us. Rex looked totally blank and spaced out. Like he was out of words.

I held Jake's hand and brought him back to the library while Rex stood there looking at us without blinking.
