833 Give Her a Slap (1/2)
In the room.
Lu Yan slowly opened his eyes, above his head was no longer the rundown ceilings but rather, a pink canopy bed, the dazzling chandeliers passing through the mesh. When he moved a little, the windchime made a light, tinkling sound.
It was An'an's room, An'an's bed.
Her bed wasn't huge, and a huge part of it sunk down when his 1.9 meter frame was on it. Most importantly, his legs were fully stretched out and there wasn't enough space left.
He was on her bed.
Lu Yan looked with the tail of his eye, his face sunk into the pillow and it was soft and smelled so good, there was a lingering fragrance all around. It was her body scent.
He nuzzled against the pillow for awhile before he sat up, his upper body bare except the bandages around it. He still wore the same black pants below and the excess material on the right pant leg was cut away, accentuating that fact that his right leg was amputated.
He got down the bed, wanting to look for his prosthetic leg.
But he suddenly recalled that his prosthetic leg had been kicked far away by himself, he wondered if she actually helped him to pick it back up. He was venting his anger previously, but now he regretted it.
Scanning around the princess-like room with his deep, brown eyes, he didn't see what he was looking for. An'an wasn't there.
He arrived beside the door, stretching his arm out to open it.
He heard some laughter outside, it was Huo Yanmei. ”An'an, you should keep in touch with Junxun now that he's back. Why don't you two go for an overseas vacation together?”
Lu Yan clutched onto the doorknob tightly, his gaze riveted on the dining room downstairs. There were three people seated at the extravagant, long dining table downstairs. An'an and Li Junxun were sitting opposite each other. One was an eligible youth while the other was a youthful beauty, the scene of the two together was wonderful.
Li Junxun…
It had been three years, Lu Yan had almost forgotten about his existence. Back then, Li Junxun used to love An'an very much.
Noticing Huo Yanmei's attitude, Lu Yan could already tell that she treated Li Junxun as her son-in-law.
An'an was going to go on an overseas vacation with Li Junxun?
Lu Yan's lips were dry and pale as he had just woken up. He pursed his lips, staring at the lithe figure seated downstairs.
…
In the dining room downstairs, An'an lowered her head as she cut the steak in front of her. She wasn't very interested in spending time with the people in front of her.
She knew that Huo Yanmei was happy with Li Junxun, but she only treated him as a senior. Just like before, she didn't have any other kind of feelings for him.
Her entire mind was taken up by the man upstairs. Was he already awake or not? If he was awake, he should be feeling hungry by now.
But she heard Huo Yanmei continue say laughingly, ”An'an, Junxun has started a medical devices company overseas and it's already publicly listed. The devices are said to be rather advanced and have yet to be imported locally, Junxun is truly capable.”
Li Junxun was the young master of the Li family but he had started his own company by himself. He was indeed one of the few capable ones among the rich second-generation heirs.
An'an suddenly stopped cutting her steak, she lifted her head to look at Li Junxun with her eyes both lit up. ”Senior Junxun, let's add each other on WeChat.”
”Sure.”
Lu Yan was watching from upstairs and he pressed his lips into a firm line once he saw An'an adding Li Junxun on WeChat, before closing the room door.
Once he walked beside the couch, he whipped out a packet of cigarettes from his pocket before biting on one stick of it, lighting it up.
He began to puff on it.
An'an and Li Junxun had added each other on WeChat and she began asking him, ”Senior Junxun, does your company sell… prosthetic legs?”
Li Junxun nodded. ”We do, our company has the most advanced prosthetic legs available in the market now. Many local hospitals are negotiating deals with me right now. An'an, why are you asking?”
”Oh, I have a friend who had to amputate a leg because of an accident. I was asking for him.”
