Anhao immediately looked up at Zuo Hancheng as she replied, “We are talking about ten million yuan! That is an astronomical figure for me! Do you really think that just because I am the mayor’s daughter, I could really live like the young lady of the Gu family? All that Gu Tianming has ever given me is money to pay for my tuition fee! I had to sign a contract with the Gu family to receive any other sum of money. Yes, that is why I have to earn the ten million yuan using my own methods. Zuo Hancheng pursed his lips and he had a very cold expression on his face. “Do you really think that it would be so easy for you to casually publish news about me? The public relations department of Shengling Group can be compared to the government’s secrecy department. They can purchase all the photos and any news that the media intend to publish in the blink of an eye. Even if you want to make some money, you might not be able to do so.”

Anhao’s body weakened immediately as she leaned against the back of the sofa. As expected, she was really too young and naïve.

How many people would have actually been waiting to take pictures of someone like Zuo Hancheng? As a result, over the past few years, there was only one profile picture of him that had ever made it to the internet. Anyone who put some thought into the matter would have known that the media would never dare to publish any news or photographs of him without his permission.

Anhao rolled her eyes as soon as she heard his words. “It does not matter to me at all. It is not my money and I do not intend to spend that money anyway.”

“Alright, then.”

“I am a righteous person!”

Zuo Hancheng snorted. “Okay then, keep your righteousness. I want you to go to the study room now and copy your English textbook twenty times.”

Gu Anhao froze in place as soon as she heard the words ‘English textbook’. He wanted her to copy her English textbook twenty times?

She seemed to have heard him mentioning a similar punishment when she was drunk last night, but after she sobered up, she thought that it was only a nightmare. She would never have expected that nightmare to turn into reality in just one day!

Anhao knew that Zuo Hancheng was only punishing her because she was initially planning to secretly take pictures of him so that she could sell those pictures to get the ten million yuan cash reward. He was only punishing her in such an inhumane manner because she provoked him first.

Anhao immediately looked at him with an aggrieved expression on her face as she pleaded, “Can I take back what I just said? I will not try to take any more pictures of you so that I can get any cash rewards, okay? I don’t want to be a righteous person anymore…”

There were so many words inside! The textbook was so thick! There were just too many sentences and words in the textbook and she actually had to copy it twenty times?

Gu Anhao quietly turned around to steal a glance at Zuo Hancheng who was still seated outside in the living room. After that, she turned around as she tried to secretly tear off some of the pages in the textbook. She was extremely confident that Zuo Hancheng would never know what she did.

“There are ninety eight pages in your English textbook. Don’t try and make a fool out of yourself. If you miss out on even just one page, I want you to copy that same page another ten times. Think carefully before you try to do anything foolish.”

Zuo Hancheng did not come over to her but it seemed as though his voice was lingering over her head. Gu Anhao felt as though her heart was sinking into a bottomless pit.
