Chapter 253: Chapter 253 Antique Business

The scene suddenly erupted into chaos, and two bodyguards hurried forward to drag Lotus away, after which the wedding proceeded as normal.

Chen Yu didn’t concern himself with the commotion, having helped Victor with his trouble, he found a corner and continued drinking.

It wasn’t until the wedding was over that Victor found Chen Yu with a beaming smile.

“Mr. Chen, I really can’t thank you enough for this time, I wouldn’t have known how to carry on with the wedding without you.”

Chen Yu didn’t say much, simply rattling the wine bottle in his hand.

“Mr. Victor, may I ask how this wine was brewed? Why is it so mellow and sweet?”

Victor glanced at the wine in Chen Yu’s hand and immediately ordered his men to bring two more bottles.

“Mr. Chen, without concealment, this wine is brewed using a unique secret recipe of William’s family, and it has been stored in the wine cellar for a thousand years!”

Chen Yu was somewhat surprised; he hadn’t expected such a fine wine within William’s family.

At that moment, a middle-aged man was led into the hall by two bodyguards from William’s family.

Carrying a package wrapped tightly in black cloth.

When Victor saw the middle-aged man, he immediately became enthusiastic, quickly pulling him over to sit at the table.

The middle-aged man wasn’t shy either, leisurely unwrapping the black cloth to reveal a knight’s longsword that glittered with a silver light.

Victor became excited instantly, eagerly cradling the longsword to inspect it closely.

“Is this the knight’s longsword once used by William’s family? Finally, this sword has returned to William’s family!”

In his excitement, the middle-aged man gently tapped the table, then extended a finger.

“Mr. Victor, according to our previous agreement, this sword is priced at one hundred million, please make the payment immediately.”

Victor didn’t say much; after all, the sword belonged to William’s family, and now that it was back, he was even more delighted.

Without paying much attention to the price, Victor directly instructed his subordinates to make the transfer.

“Hold on!”

Chen Yu suddenly called out, then stepped forward and took the longsword from Victor’s hands.

“I feel like there’s something wrong with this sword!”

The middle-aged man immediately tensed up, then hurriedly tried to cover the panic on his face, staring at Chen Yu with an inexplicable gaze.

“If I’m not mistaken, sir, you must be from the East, right? Our Western treasures have our unique attributes and are different from Eastern antiques. Since this is an heirloom of William’s family, you shouldn’t speak carelessly!”

Chen Yu burst into laughter as if he had heard a terrific joke.

“Sir, you’re quite funny. Regardless of whether it’s from the East or the West, anything handed down from ancient times is an antique, there’s no difference!”

With that, Chen Yu tapped the longsword a few times.

“If I remember correctly, such knight’s longswords are typically forged from black steel, which takes on a silver sheen with the passage of time! Yet the glint on this sword is a bit too bright.”

Victor instantly became vigilant; after all, Chen Yu had more than once seen through the authenticity of a gemstone at previous auctions.

His expression changed subtly as he quietly signaled the bodyguards to stand behind the middle-aged man, ready to take control of him if anything seemed amiss.

“Mr. Chen, since you’re here, could you please help me verify the authenticity of this sword?”

Victor muttered a request and passed a magnifying glass to Chen Yu.

Chen Yu did not reach out to take it, instead carefully examining the longsword in his hand.
