Chen Yu rolled his eyes, “She’s the new secretary I just hired. She has nowhere to go for the moment, so I brought her back home first.”
Jin Lingsu didn’t say much more. After all, she was an outsider, and even if Chen Yu were to cheat outside, it wouldn’t have anything to do with her.

The sudden alert tone made Chen Yu’s body tremble violently, and he subconsciously crouched down to watch his surroundings warily.

The man hesitated, “Earlier in Edinburgh, this woman killed several people from our Edward Family. The higher-ups ordered me to bring her head back. I hope Mr. Chen can make it convenient for me.”
Chen Yu scoffed, “If I make it convenient for you, then who will make it convenient for me? Miss Jin is my esteemed guest. As long as she is here, I have to ensure her safety for that duration!”
“Even if she leaves this door, I’ll seek revenge for her.”
The man frowned deeply and slowly stepped back, retreating into the shadows nearby, and then the sound of dialing a phone rang out.
After some inquiring, the man reappeared in front of Chen Yu.
“Mr. Chen, I believe there must be some misunderstanding. Starting today, the Edward Family’s pursuit of Miss Jin is revoked!”
“As for the companies in Miss Jin’s name, my Edward Family will take it as compensation.”
After dropping these words, the man flipped over the wall and disappeared without a trace.
Chen Yu immediately breathed a sigh of relief, aware of the situation in Europe to some extent.
Although the Edward Family was at odds with William’s family and the Charlies family, their main strategic goal was to penetrate the Eastern market.
At such a time, they absolutely couldn’t afford to offend any enterprise or family in the East, especially a person with as many connections as Chen Yu.

Nevertheless, having her stay on as a bodyguard wasn’t a bad idea after all.
