Chapter 867 (1/2)

Chapter 867: 270. Creating Souls from Nothingness (Extra for the League Leader)_3

After five hours, it would awaken from its Slumber and become a synthetic human who could only stare blankly.

“It’s all done, Selena.”

Noland Lee tossed the Deconstruction Technique toward the synthetic human standing asleep.

After confirming that this synthetic human looked almost identical to Roymin, he said to the beautiful witch waiting nearby:

“Now, send it back to the Ulnas Circle. It will wake up from its Slumber after five hours, but compared to when it arrived at the Deep Sea Branch, it will appear dull, sluggish, and incompetent.

“If the Wizards from the Wizard Enforcement Department who are guarding it ask you the reason for its change, then just blame it on an attempted betrayal of the Deep Sea Branch. It was the punishment from the Deep Sea Branch that turned it into a numb alien. Whether it ends up on the dissection table is not our concern.”

“No problem, Jarvis,” Selena examined the synthetic human from head to toe.

At a glance, there seemed to be no change from when it first came to the Deep Sea Branch.

Perhaps only those deeply knowledgeable about alien technology would be able to spot the abnormalities in Synthetic Human DKP-15.

Selena trusted Noland’s skills, certain that he could perfectly conceal any anomalies so that they would remain undetected.

Also, as a witch who had self-taught the alien language and delved deep into alien technology with Noland’s help, she was well aware of how difficult it was for wizards to comprehend alien culture.

Alien culture and wizard culture were entirely different realms.

The many biases and preconceived notions ensured that only a very few wizards could ever truly understand the essence of alien technology.

Selena crossed her arms and stroked her chin thoughtfully, still feeling it wasn’t entirely safe.

It wasn’t that she didn’t trust Noland, but she worried that some genius might emerge from the realm of wizards, suddenly grasp the workings of alien technology, and then detect the anomaly in Synthetic Human DKP-15.

“Jarvis… I have an idea,” Selena said, tilting her head.

“Hmm? What is it?” Noland Lee was engrossed in studying the Computing Array in his hands, pondering over the plans to make it talk and act.

“Since you said this synthetic human has become like this because it was punished…” Selena snapped her fingers:

“Then we might as well destroy it. We’ll just bring some remains to the Wizard Enforcement Department to close the case.”

“To destroy it…” Noland Lee looked at the sleeping synthetic human and blinked as he asked:

“Wouldn’t the Wizard Enforcement Department then fine us a penalty fee?”

“Yes, we would indeed be punished,” Selena took out the contract she had signed with the Wizard Enforcement Department from her Magic Pouch, reading and speaking:

“The more severe the damage to the alien, the higher the fine we must pay. If we completely destroy it, we need to pay a fine of 13 million gold coins to the Wizard Enforcement Department to compensate for the loss to the Ulnas Circle.”

“Thirteen million…” Noland Lee pondered for a moment.

He understood Selena’s point.

Instead of taking a gamble on whether others would spot the anomaly on the synthetic human, it was better to pay a hefty sum and erase all traces of the issue.

The former choice might fail due to a low-probability event, while the latter would be worry-free, at least money could solve the problem.

“Then let’s pay the fine. As long as it clears up any loose ends for Nolin, this amount of money is trivial.”

“Alright, leave it to me,” Selena raised her right arm toward the synthetic human, whose eyes were closed.

A water-blue shimmer appeared on her pale forearm.

The shimmer detached from her body, turning into countless sharp water blades that sliced through the synthetic human.

“Swish, swish, swish…”

The water blades circled and weaved around the synthetic human, precisely cutting every inch of its body, cleverly avoiding the miniature cold fusion reactor, which could easily trigger an explosion.

Two seconds after the water blades made their cuts, Selena clenched her fist.

The water blades turned into a Water Curtain, wrapping around the shattered body of the synthetic human.

“Poof~~”

The synthetic human’s body was compressed by the Water Curtain, turning from pieces to dust, merging with the Water Curtain.

Selena waved toward the pool.

The Water Curtain with the dust of the synthetic human body entered the Water pipe and then moved on into the Magic Water Purifier.

With a series of actions, Selena swiftly completed the task of destroying evidence.

The entire body of the synthetic human, except for the miniature cold fusion reactor emitting a faint blue glow, was eradicated.

The reactor from Synthetic Human DKP-15 was more rudimentary than that of the Dsmi Series Synthetic Human, with only one-third of the latter’s energy output.
